Vinfast new Sports car

It is good that Vietnam is trying to climb the tech ladder. You always fail if you don't try. I don't see why people feels the need to belittle whatever attempt Vietnam is doing.

As we have known Vinfast was already trialing vehicle last year. How is that going so far, Viet? Have any Vinfast vehicle went into productions now and how are they selling so far?

.
Can you even believe yourself? lol...
I mean seriously.
Ever to America? Full of Japanese cars. Japanese are rich thanks to great car sales there.
Making cars is better making women bra, don’t you think so?
Ok I know you will say chinese women don’t need such thing.

Vinfast's sales in July 2020 are 2214 vehicles, in August (the month of limited sale / purchase in Vietnam) is 1494 vehicles, and September 2020 is 3684 vehicles.

This is a sports car that Vinfast will sell in early 2021:

Well, it is a good start. China's NIO was only selling few thousands of cars a month too, and to about 10k/month now. And today NIO (57.7B) worth more than USA's GMC(53.2 B).

If a Vietnamese car company, maybe Vinfast, can come out with a good car then it will grow in net worth too.

No market for asian sports cars jap or korean let alone a viet sports car lol. Waste of time and money better spent on straw hats for viet illiterate farmers.

Lived there for a decade, I know America as much as you know about Germany...
Let's see the top car manufacturers today:

French cars had quitted the game long long ago... same as Italian cars... American car companies like GM and Ford mainly sell trucks (SUVs)... VW is struggling... Smaller Japanese car companies such as Suzuki and Mitsubishi no longer sell in the market... Chinese car companies are still trying to climb the ladder to get there... You are right, Japanese particularly Toyota is the king... But come on, the similarity between vn and Japan only lies in you are also Asian (SE Asian, same as Burmese, Laotian, and Cambodian, etc.) and that's it... For an unknown car company from a country with no technology, which tries to sell some decade-old or even rebadged stuff at premium prices... You know what the result will be... lol...

No comparison, NIO is a high tech EV company from a country with state of the art battery technology, and with the world's by far the largest market, while this vinfast still makes gasoline cars by putting together some decade-old imported kits, and is from a country known for making bras and underwear for women...lmao...

People are just being kind. Sometimes being kind is more important than being open-minded.

Does the Vietnamese government have any plans for carbon neutrality? China now has a goal of carbon neutrality by 2060 and Japan/South Korea are going with 2050.
Yes we have similar goal. Certainly we are behind other rich countries.
We will get there in the distant future.
We have a slow start, but the traction is set in. Electric buses with city wide charge stations are rolling out.

We want to export cars to the US market by next year. Very challenging task but if we succeed we will become rich.

Good luck to the Vietnam billionaire run Vinfast.

I have friends in Vinfast Australian operations. Mostly run by ex GM-Holden people. They just completed design work on small hybrid car for Vietnam market.
