China prepared for years before starting this tension. Look at how many ships you initially brought with the rig.

3. A collision between much smaller ships vs much bigger ships cause much heavier damage to smaller ships.
4. 4 much bigger China ships vs 1 Vietnam ships, 2 alongside, 1 behind, 1 intercept, ...
it's easy to have the snapshot of "hitting".

Actually, I guess the Vietnam ship stopped to avoid the hard hit to the intercepting China ship. a video would be provided to prove this.
