Come on, no one can resist JAV...
Chinese are so fond of Japanese Entertainment then why are they so anti-Japan?
What kind of Japanese Entertainment? Maybe you mean The AV one?
Anime, Manga.
its a culturally neutral art style. Avatar the Last Airbender was drawn in this style yet it was American and produced in South Korea.
no, Chinese are not fond of Japanese entertainment.
japanese anime is popular in china, but japanese music and drama are not.Yes, there are a lot of Chinese who loves Japanese anime and manga and probably Jpop too. Probably millions of Chinese fans, which is a lot. But overall, they would still be a minority of the Chinese population only.
Its the same what I was trying to explain earlier. If you look at pirate sites, stream sites, fan page sites, you might see, wow, there are hundreds of thousands of Viet fans....but overall, they are still only a minority and doesn’t reflect the political views of the country as a whole.

I'm not surprised, Taiwanese and South Koreans also like TFboys.
Vietname, like other East Asian countries, have similar taste when it comes to pop culture.
Yes it is an art style largely popularized and used by Japan. That is a cultural power.
Plus, while Avatar is indeed American, many of the popular things are still Japanese.
Like Doraemon.
A large portion of good quality Animes, are still Japanese.

but Vietnamese fans worship TFBoys to extreme, more extreme than Chinese fans
To be honest, Chinese Animes are rising quickly, only after the US an Japan
Indeed, there are some Chinese who loves Japanese anime, but
1) the number of people who love anime is much smaller than people who love dramas/music
2) anime is virtual stuff, dramas and music bands are real people. Worshiping real person is much more influential than loving virtual anime figures.

Chinese dramas are still so popular in Vietnam, albeit challenged by Korean dramas in recent years
Although Korean bands are sweeping the world, China's TFboys has grasped the Vietnamese younger generation
Actually, Chinese drama was kind of like 2000's, S.Korea drama view was outweigh Chinese drama many times. The Chinese series that got most view was the Three Kingdom ones though, many Chinese movie and Drama in Vietnam was given for free or at very low cost, some S.Korea drama too, government and firm prefer it to broadcast as the cost is cheap (business like it) and close culturally so no sensitive issue. Most of the foreign movie will have their own channel, one channel for entire American movie, S.Korea drama, Japanese drama, Chinese one-(u need to pay extra to get it available). Every weekend, at official channel, there will be a famous short movies that got short running times of certain countries (that got many international awards) like Russia, German, French, Spanish, Italy (which was kind of like in 2000's) Japanese (gain popular like in 2013), America (as always on top of that subject) and ofc our country movies that got awarded. Ah and also Middle-east countries movies (1 or 2) i think. Also recently, India government promoted their Bollywood movies, so they give our government a lot of their Series, it was broadcast like 3-4 month now, the view and rating was quite OK. And also the country like Philippine and Thailand to change taste, but they are not popular as all those countries above.
Of course like @Yorozuya mention, it aim at people with a lot of free times to watch, which is not kind of vast majority of population. The weekend movie view and popularity was outweigh most of those drama series anyway, as the market was much bigger and the flow of story is excellent as it got selected and inspected by government. Anyway movie with short running times were more popular than long ones
no, actually on Vietnamese video sharing sites, you will notice Chinese dramas and TV shows are on top, in par with Korean dramas/TV shows, and then Japanese, and then the other countries.
