Vietnam witnesses lowest level of rice exports since 2016

That's a conscious, vegetarian-oriented post, which I agree.

I know we have shared numerous posts about China's research on rice cultivation and yield. China has also made potato as one of staples in terms of production and consumption.

I agree that it is a healthier choice to reduce dramatically on meat consumption (except, perhaps, fish). China is not one of the top consumers, but, it still consumes too much, in my opinion.

On the other hand, it has also been argued that less meat consumption will lead to a more docile national psyche. That's the last thing we would want now; China needs to get a bit more aggressive, in my view, and this starts from the individual and then extends into foreign policy.

it is consumption of soy products that make someone docile and less agressive. soy not consumed a lot here by men or women. women consumption will lead to fibroids. men become feminine.

Meat for protein to build muscles. take protein powder and eat lean meat only.

The belly filler rice that can be harvested multiple times per years is not a good income earner. Its good for food security but maybe Vietnam and China should concentrate on also planting lower yielding but better tasting premium rice which have better market prices and profitability.

In this day and age, the times of poor food security in China and Vietnam should be over. If the governments should focus on cutting meat consumption and cut feeding staple foods like corn and soy to pigs and cows, there is is more than enough food to go around.

A higher plant based diet is better for environment, better for conscience, better for health and better for food security.
no way, our children should eat less rice but drink more milk and eat more meat. more meat/milk consumption means more muscles, getting taller.

Im not saying go vegetarian but to limit the amount of meat eaten. There is a highly popular study done between American and Chinese universities called 'The China study' where it is found that the introduction of a heavy meat and dairy diet resulted in a multitude of illness ranging from cancer to heart disease which were virtually non existent in China prior to development and wealth.

Eating meat is an extremely inefficient way to create food as large quantities of human staples are fed to animals to produce a very small amount of meat. Imagine a Vietnam where there is plenty for everyone to eat, where the lands are not exhausted and polluted by grazing animals belching out Co2 and the health of the human inhabitants improved drastically. Im not bullshitting you, a plant based diet is an all round winner.

Im a vegetarian so im a bit on the thinner side at 80 kg but you dont have to be as strict as I am. Just eating less meat will result in so much good being done for your self and country.

Most will agree on One-China, even those avid green supporters in the south.

The reality we live is that our disagreement is mostly about political, not historical, geographic or cultural. We, otherwise, know that we are all from China, including Mainland China, which is the historical and logical center of China.

But, back to topic, I like the sour content of Vietnam food. That's quite a difference from, say, Taiwan's sweet-spicy content, or Shandong's spicy-salty content.
