I'm all for India growing ties with as many nations as possible but India shouldn't aspire to be the world's/region's policeman nor should other nations entrust their security in India. Vietnam should be looking to create an environment where they can defend themselves. India can't afford to be dragged into a conflict to protect a third party's interests.

Of course, I am all for India pursuing policies that are beneficial to India's interests. All I am saying is India should avoid at all costs getting dragged into a Vietnam-China conflict. We have seen the effect these sorts of wars can have on large nations (US, USSR etc). Naturally there will be instances when India's interests line up with Veitnam's and cases when they don't.


But would you really want to see Indian Military personal dying for Vietnam?

There is no question of India fighting for Vietnam against China and yet India can do so many things for vietnam.

I cannot find any of this incident from major main stream but johnson south reef skirmish is a famous engagement who all major main stream reported. Chola incident are the same lies you Indian painted on China as aggressor in 1962 war.
