Vietnam to receive world’s most advanced aircraft

I never heard of Vietnam Air. Is the service good? When I fly to Southeast Asia, I usually take either Cathay Pacific or Air Nippon Airways.

@Viet , can you provide us with pictures of the flight attendants , crew of Vietnam Air ?
the service of VA has a lot of rooms for improvement, in short, not as good as Thai or Singapore air. hope, that will change when VA takes 90 new modern aircrafts and implement new management team after IPO.

I like Singapore air, they are the best in SEA. that is the benchmark for VA.

Wonderful to hear, I do truly wish the best of luck for VA.

Thanks also for the pictures. :)

Thai air, may be possible. Bangkok as air hub difficult. Look.at the map and u know why. coz we r at the middle of s.e.a mainland.
well, we want to rival Bangkok airport with a multi billions dollar construction of a new airport in southern VN: Long Thanh International Airport. capacity: 100 million passengers a year. first stage is scheduled for completion in 2020.

Vietnam will fast replace Malaysia in the tourist map .

Its an awesome place.

Not to mention, the friendly currency rate. Its also cheaper in Viet Nam than in Malaysia. :)

You get more bang for your buck...in Viet Nam.

You must be setting your goal too short then:

I am not in the Airline Business. I think good facility is only 30% of the success to be air hub. To be air hub, the root problem is how to get all airlines to choose to transit to your country. Hub = connection isn't it? Like network hubs. Suppose you agree the definiton of hub and the root problem I stated earlier, you ask question : If you are an airline boss, which airport do you choose as transit? It is easy! The one that has more passengers. Currently Thai people do more international travel than VN people + existing hub crown gives much extra passengers, I don't see why airliners will choose other places. VN is on the edge of the map having Hongkong, Singapore, Bangkok air hubs surrounded. I see your difficulty to realize your dream base on this fundamental. Anyway, competition is welcomed.

my friend, only the future can tell. one thing is sure: nothing lasts forever.

We're simply the best in 2 continent. Money wise & services there's nothing that can beat Garuda.

Congrat

Yeah, but Thai Airways is excellent. Vietnam probably has a crack at the US routes. Thai doesn't fly to the US AFAIK. Currently, you either have to use Singapore or go through Japan or S.Korea. If Vietnam starts flying to LA, Seattle, Dallas, Chicago etc. then it might have a shot at monopolizing the SEA hub for US inbound passengers. It's good for me though. The more competition to Yangon is always good for me.
a direct service to America is planned.
