Vietnam surpasses Bangladesh in RMG export

They be living the nice life and we be living the rice life.
The thing is Bangladesh's economy is mostly based on export of RMG and Remittance which is quite a drawback. Bangladesh might see decline in the RMG sector in the future due to rising cost.

It is high time for Bangladesh to become a service oriented nation.

Bro, is the engine being manufactured in Vietnam ?

The distinct design of Vinfast is actually in its front lamp, but for me that front lamp is the biggest negative point, with that small front lamp it has, look like the lamps dont create sufficient light to make it safe enough to drive during night time.
Sure we make the engines too. Vinfast bought the complete BMW licenses 5 series.

It would be appreciated if you show us Vinfast casting plant of that engine.

. . .
That is not casting plant bro, more like engine assembly facility.
Ok wait I look for it if found I post here. I think the technology comes from the Austrian company called AVL.

here it is. Short video. Min 4.

Casting plant should be like this:

Dude, you misunderstood me.

I am glad Vietnam took us over, now the real game begins.

Private sector (which runs the garments industry) has got its precious grapes caught in a vice, they will do anything to escape from this stranglehold.

Just watch as BGMEA slam the peddle like it has never been slammed before.

Experienced group of businessmen like those in the BGMEA never disappoint, competition serves as a motivation.

Instead of measuring genitals sizes with fellow regional cesspools, we now have an actual 'opponent' to compete with.

Bear in mind, Vietnam's economy is puny compared to Bangladesh, so we haven't lost anything yet.

Hope to see a strong comeback from our industry leaders.

More power to Bangladesh and Vietnam.

Joi Bhaat Khor.

Puny?

All in $ billion

Viet GDP 262
BG 303
Viet Exports 290
Viet Surplus 32
BG exports 40

Please do some research before comenting.

Maybe they don't make engine from scratch unlike Indonesia ?

Could it be they simply assemble the engine ?

Yup, that video shown by Viet is assembly like CKD or IKD (Completely Knock Down or Incomplete Knock Down). I dont know whether BMW let Vinfast to manufacture their engine in Vietnam. Similar like Malaysia Proton which uses Mitsubishi engine, I think the engine is not made in Malaysia, but Malaysia Proton just assembly the engine.

Usually a principal will put engine manufacturing on one country as their manufacturing base, just like Toyota Indonesia engine factory that export many of the engines to many Toyota assembling facilities across Asia. That picture that I have shown is steel engine block, Toyota Indonesia also has casting plant for aluminium engine block.

I do not know if foreign companies really build engines starting from casting or assemble them in Indonesia or Vietnam, but, in real world they, especially those of Japan, would bring in the fully assembled engines from their home countries and fix them to the car bodies in the assembling plants.

Quality, they want to maintain, and know how, they may not want to share with the local companies. When an engine is fully built in your two countries there is every possibility that they will not be highly regarded by foreign countries. Hence, the export market will remain limited. Only lovcal market with hundreds of complaints.

Producing the correct alloy for the engines require a long term experience.

As I said I dont think BMW will let Vinfast to build the engine, similar like I dont think Mitsubishi let Proton to produce their engine. But in Indonesia case, it is Toyota itself who owned the factory in Indonesia.

That picture that I posted here is the engine manufacturing process in casting plant in Indonesia. You just can look on the link I provided and try to use Google Translate to understand the reporting. That is coming from Indonesian news.

Here is the prove that the engine produced in Indonesia is exported to so many countries. Even Indonesian made engine is exported to Toyota home based which is Japan.

TMMIN plants produces two gasoline and ethanol engines: TR (Sunter Plant #1 & #2) and R-NR (Karawang Plant #3). There are two types of TR engine made from iron, 1TR and 2TR. These machines are used for car with IMV (Innovative Multipurpose Vehicle) type like Fortuner and Innova. Furthermore, R-NR engine which is made from aluminum, also has two types, 1RN and 2RN. These engines are used for sedan like Yaris, Vios & MAV (Multi Activity Vehicle) like Sienta. Both engines are produced not only for domestic market but also for many countries in the world.

You are right about Toyota producing engines for some of its models in Indonesia. Toyota had seen the potential of your country with so many natural resources to build manufacturing plants there.

On the other hand, Nissan has selected a land even in Myanmar. However, because our country's people are big-talking and do-nothing, therefore, no such companies ever think of investing in our country. It is unfortunate, but cannot be helped unless the govt and people change their mindset.

Proton can’t be compared with cars of VF. Malaysia makes cheap cars. If we follow Malaysia step we would fail. Vinfast invest $3.5b in the car factories. That’s big sum. Big bet. There are numerous car part manufacturers in immediate surroundings. With the time I think we can almost make everything. Certainly we will continue relying on imports but who not?
