Vietnam says it will not join any anti-China alliance

There is only two big countries that has ever threaten Singapore's sovereignty. If Singapore is ever invaded by either of these two countries will China or US risk their relationship with these two countries to rescue Singapore?

That's a big if, and that's assuming those 2 countries have the military capabilities to do so. Not sure about the one to the South, but definitely not the one to the North where submarines can't sink, jet engines go missing, guns can go 'missing' in the sea, and gang members can disguise themselves as colonels to rob the armoury.

You're right that Singapore has little choices, and that's why Singapore has to actively encourage different major powers to have a stake in the region.

Well, basically since USA media are bunch of hypocrites and love to think in black and white or the good one and the bad one, i would suspect they would call China the bad commie and Vietnam the good lost commie.
