Beautiful pictures. However, it is not part of new Hanoi - Haiphong highway, which was in operation since 2015.
This bridge is to connect Haiphong city with Cat Hai island.

I think it is. highway from CatHai/Cat Ba to Hanoi to Lao Cai. and who knows, later the highway continues to China.

there is pilot project running. free movement, no visa restrictions for citizens of border cities of Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China). even private cars are allowed crossing the border entering the cities.

These sort of infra projects are to ensure that Vietnam is the upcoming manufacturing power house. If you have good infra and logistics, no cheap labor can take away manufacturing from you.

Vietnam the real boss of SEA not Indonesia

In many aspects, Vietnam is a more developed country. For example, internet penetration and mobile business. If I were businessman, I would bet on Vietnam in SEA. Of course, Indonesia cannot be ignored, too, simply because its market size and hence "potential."
