What's new

Vietnam overtakes Bangladesh, becomes 2nd largest RMG exporter

BD can build them , it’s just that BD doesn’t actually give a dam about actual development.
No, building machines, motors, engines, tools and equipment is not that easy. And BD top people do not think it is necessary. So, they go after foreign money to build a few prestige-enhancing civil engineering projects.

I am expecting Japanese or other FDIs to compensate for the deficiency in producing technology goods.

.
Considering BD's inability to manufacture even the sewing machines it will remain unable to go much beyond what it has already achieved in garments sector.

Technologies to produce thousands of types of processing/ non-processing machines continuously create new wealth and BD lacks the initiative to build them.
This guys obsession with making sewing machines is over the top. Remember when you were sucking up to that racist Indian Nilgiri. You have a deep seated inferiority complex unfortunately.

No , Bangladesh is trash whether you want to accept it or not.

When other countries talk less and do more , BD talks more and does less

Bd business ppl obsessed with selling cotton underwear in Walmart.

Have you not heard our great leader hasina? Bd will be developed country 2041 and by then we will flood the world with cotton underwear. Hasina will force every world citizens to buy too many underwears and with all the foreign exchange we will build sonar bangla and digital bangladesh.

in a serious note unless bd learn how to advertise it self not a country of low cost fucking garments dont expect huge FDI. its all about percrption and marketing. branding wise bd did a terrible job. Bd need to do good branding to get FDI in high value items where local business can learn from joint ventures. So far what ever FDI bd gets are same low value items.

This was bound to happen.

I said it before, worker productivity of East Asian countries like China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam are way higher than the rest of the world. Low wages and tariff benefits can take us only so far.

To combat this, factory owners will now increasingly move towards automation, leaving millions unemployed.

I realize your points, but Vietnam, at the end of the day is nothing more than a convenient proxy for China - for exports to the US and EU.

Backward integration in textiles in Vietnam is minimal (spinning/weaving) even compared to Bangladesh. Vietnam does not grow any cotton either AFAIK. So - they are dependent in large part to China for all textile inputs including woven/knit textiles sometimes, if not yarn and fibre. This is just to circumvent US sourcing tariffs for Chinese textile imports.

To those who wish to have Bangladesh build space shuttles, we need to build infra first (roads, bridges, highways, ports). Have to learn to crawl first, then walk, then run.

Everything is produced in a third world country because people somewhere else wants to buy it cheap. If you don't have a large local market (for say, automobiles) - which we don't, then we have to find buyers overseas. If we don't, then I guess we won't make/export them.

Nothing is made to satisfy nationalistic ego. They are made in factories because there are buyers overseas who want to buy them (if they are cheaper to buy and better quality than other options - like the RMG you guys diss so much).

RMG is what Bangladesh will keep making, until production shifts to say pots/pans and hand/power tools. Last time I checked, those are still better made in China for export. Even other Asian countries cannot compete. So - there you go. :-)

Eventually we will start exporting pots/pans/pressure cookers as well as hammers and wrenches (in massive numbers, to be profitable). But the demand for those are not as intense as shorts and T-shirts. You all need to be patient.

If you do not like my viewpoints, you are free to propose sending Mars Mission, and building jet planes and airports in every Mahalla. Who stops you from saying so when Hasina Bibi has already proposed these specialized projects for consumption by superior guys like you?

You will feel very superior to other countries just by talking about these big projects, and all developed countries will come to kowtow BD, Hasina Bibi, and you!!

Every country's people work hard and a Golden Bangali idiot like you knows how to talk big and feel superior!! No wonder BD remains a 6th rate country.

Please tell us what is the production volume of Singer machines in BD and the total sell of its commercial machines to the garments sector in BD.

As far as I know, JUKI, a Japanese product, became the most popular commercial sewing machine in China that started the production of its garments with these machines and gradually started to produce its own brands of machines.

BD started with a limited number of JUKI and an unlimited number of Chinese sewing machines. BD remains stuck at that and has been unable to produce sewing machines for commercial uses. Can you tell me why we cannot when we claim we are the most talented people on this Earth?

The Singer is basically a British company that established business in the sub-continent before 1947. I have seen many local tailors use this machine and I have my personal experience of seeing a few hand-operated (not by legs) machines.

So, please tell me about this company's production capacity or sell volume of Commercial Machines. Please visit a garments factory and deduce your opinion on what I asked.

One interesting thing I see is that Bangladesh doesn't have a game making company yet I think , for ex like Riot Games , Activision Blizzard , Rockstar Games etc.

I feel like we have potential to do really well in game development , it doesn't take much besides computers and a team.

There are quite a few game-making companies in Bangladesh. The below is a list for them:

I am pretty sure where Bangladesh is but I also don't bend over backwards for racist Indians like Nilgiri don't make me bring up posts where you were begging him for validation

Hey idiot, what kichir kichir talking you are doing here? Write and talk like a man. Or see a doctor to check your mental health.

A few links,

I have seen these games , Zero Hour isn't bad but it uses gun sounds from COD or something which needs to be fixed. It has great potential.

But what I want to see is a brand new game concept or design from them

(For ex) Counter Strike , when it first came out it was something new to the gaming industry and people loved it. Now we have games like Valorant which copies it's elements like aka diffusing the bomb or spike.

Also games like GTA , free roaming the world and causing chaos

Or like Skyrim , which has a great story line

I want BD to come up with a new game idea or concept , even better if it has a story line and multiplayer
