Naval Command of Region 5 receives two warships

PANO - The Naval Command of Region 5 held a ceremony to receive two warships, the “HQ-264” and “HQ-265” on March 1st.

Both of the warships will be under the Command’s Brigade 127 to conduct missions of practice and patrol to defend the national sovereignty over islands and seas in the southwestern region.

At the reception, Naval Captain Tran Ba Lang, head of Brigade 127, promised to improve the quality of practice and actively operate the warships.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Huyen, Commissar of the Navy, stressed that these warships are equipped with automatically controlled weapons, in contribution to improving combat power and capacity of offshore search and rescue.

The Vice-Admiral also asked the Brigade’s troops to elevate their responsibility, overcome difficulties and actively practise from the simplest to the most complex and master equipment and weapons.

What I heard from Vietnam that India still on hold on that Brahmos due to the short of supplies for India Navy, Army something. As soon as India delivery for us, Vietnam Navy will has more fancy toys to play with China Navy.

You are right for the ship with HQ-272 that was made in Vietnam. The last pictures of 2 ships that is new and I made in Russia and that 2 ships carries U-ran missiles and fast attack ships.

Yes, It has no anti-ship missiles, but it was equipped with short-range anti-aircraft missiles.

It has maximum speed of 32 nautical miles/hour and capable of continuous operation for over 30 days at sea, capable combat in terms of wind grade level 9-10 and waves grade level 8, range operation of 2500 nautical miles.
It was equipped with modern weapons, the highly automated: AK-176 gun ships, flak combination Ak-630, 12.7 mm machine guns and anti-aircraft missiles.
