Vietnam looks to export more rice to China

Congratulations! Your average workers are finally comparable to Chinese living in absolute poverty. Now your poverty rate is just 4 times that of China's. Pretty soon your whole country may actually have higher GDP than my city.

You should be proud. That's a remarkable accomplishment for a shit hole.

shit hole is in China, turn home and see ...

"The South China Morning Post first visited the village in 2018, and when we returned a year later, we found little had changed and for some families, conditions had grown even worse. ..."

There are lot of cheap people in China for sure, so they're fine with buying inferior Vietnamese rice. I don't know about poor though. Even the poorest province in China is still richer than entire Vietnam put together.
Ok let’s see. Vietnam rice is $20 per ton cheaper than Thailand, not why Vietnam rice is inferior because Vietnam rice yield per hectare is greater than Thailand, 5.41 ton vs 3.02 ton. Vietnam productivity is higher, hence we can sell cheaper.

But seriously, our goal is selling industrial goods as cars, bus, smartphone, semiconductor, high priced goods and services, not shoes, potatoes and rice. The money of selling rice is tiny compared to overall export figures.

Ok last, being poor is not a sickness, just a snapshot of time though, no medicine is necessary, working harder will cure. We will see who laughs at the end of the day.

Yes you can, however ONLY Vietnam can provide huge amount of foods as porks, fish, fruits and everything thanks to our production power.

Where do you want to get your daily delicious grilled pork meat when pigs die en masse in China but you need to import 10 million pigs? From Cambodia?

Very good with rice noodles and fish sause :-)

Certainly you can buy 10 million pigs, 100 million chickens from your best friends in Africa.but are you willing to pay higher costs in production, transport, logistics?

It is nothing ashamed for vn to be dirt poor as compared to China... Your entire country's GDP can't even compare to our cities:
China's GDP is ~60 times that of you, which means it takes us less than 1 week to produce a vietnam..... GDP per capita and average salary, China are ~5 times that of you...

It is a miracle you are still boasting everywhere here in PDF....

In fact, the United States provides China with the most food...Followed by Brazil.
The cost of shipping is nothing at all.
*But I don't know if the United States is still the largest source of food imports after the trade war.
I know that a few years ago, 40% of China's grain imports came from the United States.

chinese like to talk here and imported it

The Chinese on this forum may not buy Vietnamese rice, but the apolitical Chinese civilians will.
