What's new

VietNam first-ever confidence vote.

Vietnam never has a history of transfer the power to people, you joke. Actually whoever expelled Chinese invasions, united the country became king or queen of Vietnam.
Bcz no regime transferd its power to people, thats why they fell and no longer exist.

As u know, when VNese dislike the ruling regime, then they wont stand up and fight when the invader come to our soil and it make the ruling regime collapse(U can see how Colonel Gadiffi in Lybia was killed , too). The current party now doesnt wanna follow the same path of failure, so they r thinking abt transfering the power to people.

Power to the people is definitely good but it is too early for Vietnam and China to adopt such a system. Once everybody is well fed, educated and have a secure future for the next generation, leaders do not have to be so overriding and strong.
Look at India, in their next election Narendra Modi is by far the best candidate but I have a strong feeling that dumbass Rahul Gandhi is going to win because uneducated impoverished masses will choose him for small token bribes, vote banks and better looks.

Yes, removing the government like in Libya and Syria is soo good for the people. Afterwards, the people think of the good old days like when they at least had bread, water and a donkey.

The problem for VN is that there r so many VNese want US back to rule them like before 1975, so they wont care and even very happy if the current regime collapse. many Vnese say that: " if US attack Vn again, then they will surely support USA"

So, VN's ruling party now must find out the way to avoid the same fate with Colonel Gadaffi first, and transfering power to people is the best way for all .The current regime is happy coz it wont collapse, people is happy too coz now they can have a little power to decide what to do for their lives.

There are many Indians who will vote for Congress because it is secular.

And Narendra Modi for Indian PM?

Careful what you wish for, Modi's regime may launch unprovoked all out nuclear strike against China for little or no reasons at all.

''China withdraws its forces from our territory but why are Indian forces withdrawing from Indian territory? Why did we retreat?" Modi asked rhetorically, referring to the recent border spat with China.

So its all good because a disgruntled portion of society is willing to sellout the government? Its exactly the same recipe for whats going on in the Arab spring, with loyalists vs rebels - both sides will suffer and the country goes to the stone age. Removing the current government is like swapping a nice bowl of pho for a bowl of watered down congee.

Everyone talks 5hit before they are elected, once they have power rational judgement kicks in. Rahul Gandhi is a total piece of 5hit, just looking at his gay face invokes disdain and disgust.

Bcz China & VN refused to swap, many people tried to protect the emperors and their out dated rulling way, that why when the last dynasties surrendered to the West, both of us had a 100 year of humiliation:pop:

It is more like everyone does more $hit after elected.

Hmm... seems as if you have personal issues with him. As long as his mother is in charge behind the curtain, minorities in India can have hope for survival.

A small step but a good and important one.
You don't rock a boat when you are sailing in rough water, so for VN to be able to carried this out successfully also means that the VN political environment is rather stable.
70/30 ratio is a good sign too, it means there are actually some "devil's advocates" and they are not rejected by the system, in every team we need challengers as much as gatekeepers and collaborators to keep it function well.

vn are moving toward democracy slowly, hope it's not too slow and anger the Vietnamese in Vietnam.

this is very true, even Chinese attack Vietnam now the people will over throw it government.

If this was vote by the people most of the government officers will loose their hot seats. Maybe the people of Vietnam should do the Confidence vote. Leave the power in the hand of the citizen.

Just give a strong warning to those government officers first .time for those officers to realize that they should work for the benefit of VN people now.
