Vietnam communist boss visits Russia amid tension between the bear and the west

These Vietcongs just don't realize the Russians only treat them as disposable pawns. The jungle is only good for buying Russian weapons so they can cash in. When did Russia ever meddled with SCS matters? Did USSR/Russia ever supported Vietnam against China on the disputed islands? Did they came to the rescue when China taught Vietnam a lesson?

China and Russia are geographical neighbors, both are among the most powerful nations on earth, both are frequently on the same page dealing with politics against the Western opposite. We both consider each other as strategic partners. Who is the one signing major deals with Russia to weather off the effects of the US/EU/JP sanctions against Russia? Whom did Putin thanked for the silent support on Crimea? Did VN gave any support to Russia on Crimea? You Vietcongs even didn't support Russia for taking Crimea. Basically you guys criticized your "friend", our Russian friends here can attest what was written by the Vietcongs at PDF.

The friendship these delusional monkeys dream they have with the Russians can be seen between China and Pakistan.

Lets be real, Vietcongs don't have big boys as friends, Russia and USA doesn't see you that way. If VCP wants Uncle Sam as daddy they will shoot themselves in the foot as the Russians won't be happy about it. That is why America won't consider Vietnam as a potential friend like South Korea or Japan. Dumb members like Viet can only talk about US giving them F22/F35 or Burke Class destroyers as some beggar. It's not gonna happen

Vietnam only has one big boss as neighbor and it must be suffocating when the Dragon is sitting on top of them.

That's true so you trust Russia? And you truly believe Russia trust you? If you say yes to that, then you must be a fool. Nobody in the western world like Russia and China. Its a simple fact and all over the news. The two countries, Russia and China, were forced to unite by the Western allies Sanction. So you're not true friends like your comedic comment suggested. The bottom line is Russia doesn't need friends to trust. It's like business, political issues don't work on trust but on mutual agreements on something that threatens the freedom of one country.

You sound like a hurt bag and bitter about Vietnamese members on here because I guess they are better than you? I don't know why so many Chinese members are so hurt by Viet members. It's incredibly pathetic how some people would have the time to go online to hate and indulged and devoted themselves to it, only the Chinese. Pathetic.

The matter between Russia and China is not about the true love or whatever, it is that we both need each other to standoff against the US.

Against the US, we simply have too much things in common.

Vietnam has failed to learn the survival method as a small weak country.

But the Viet members have failed to learn that the relationship with China right now is the top priority for Russia.

While Vietnam is just considered as an expendable pawn, Russia will not view them as the equal partner.

You mean the corrupted Communist government of Vietnam. And its people are not willing to stand up for freedom. In a sense, it is both their faults.

The incompetent Vietcong has given a bad name to the communist, so go ahead overthrowing them if you want.

The VC party Chef Mr. Nguyễn Phú Trọng finished his study in Moscow , he has In Law & Policy Professional Ph D Certificates there.

I think he is pro Russian, he joined to make a drafted "innovation policy" of VCP 1983-1986 when he worked at Hồ Chí Minh Political Academy in Hanoi. In fact this document is influenced from NEP (new economy policy) made by Lenin in the past.

He is theoretical communist.

I'd leave that to you guys.
Why would i be hurt or have any grudge against the Vietcongs? I'm just merely stating facts, the Vietcongs here seem to think they are the most important country to Russia as bosom buddies, nothing could be further from the truth. It is they who keep saying they are Russia's best friends, Russia will help them to unite sub mekong, Russia will help Vietcongs with SCS disputes, American and Russian will sell their top weaponry to Vietnam. yada yada yada.... I'm just merely pointing out facts and nothing more. If you have anything against Communists, blame VCP and the Vietnamese people instead of criticizing China/Chinese in general dude. You obviously don't know how much rubbish these brainless trolls keep on repeating for the past few years rather having constructive debate.

Throughout the world, Vietnam has a reputation for being treacherous, perfidious, flaky and unreliable. They have a tendency to use friends, abuse friends and then abandon them to court "new friends". Right now, Russia is in a tense standoff with the West, and I hope Vietnam demonstrates that it can be a more faithful and reliable partner through standing by Russia. Little gestures like these can help Vietnam ameliorate its lowly reputation.

Party leader visits Russia’s oil leading group
On November 24, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited Zarubezhneft – one of Russia’s leading groups in the oil and gas industry as part of his ongoing visit to the Russian Federation.

Zarubezhneft group has been involved in numerous projects in more than 30 countries, including Vietnam where it has cooperated with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) to set up two joint ventures: Vietsovpetro in 1981 and Rusvietpetro in 2008.

Party leader Trong affirmed that bilateral oil and gas and energy cooperation has proven effective and would play a key role in Vietnam-Russia relations in a long run.

Vietsovpetro has been a good example for the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership, and has made huge economic contributions to both sides. It has also been a cradle for personnel training in Vietnam’s oil and gas industry, Trong noted.

Trong said he hoped Zarubezhneft and PetroVietnam would effectively implement their signed agreements and called for the Russian group to expand operations in Vietnam.

Party leader Trong has also scheduled talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 25 and has a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Medvedev on the agenda.
