China has around 4 KJ2000 and 8 KJ200 equipped.
China is developing KJ3000 and KJ500 at the moment..
If there is war, there will be much more convoy, rather than leaving only 4-8 fighter.
AWACS is a high value target, there will always be more fight and warship ahead to protect it..

How you countermeasure an assault to AWACS by 8 , coming in 20 mins ? while escosted by 2 - 4

Yet AWACS has radar that can see 300KM.
Any plane trying to get close will be intercepted by accompanying fighter..
It will stay away from enemy force yet enough to see all.
B52 is a bomber that need to fly into enemy fire range..

I do understand, the problem is, seeing is believing is actually a problem with Vietnam, they rarely, if ever show pics of anything new except ships and planes, so you'll have to wait quite a bit for pics, that's just how it works with Vietnam man. no matter if you believe or not. well, vietnam will receive 4-6 battalions of s-400 in 2015, confirmed by russian side: Igor Novoselov, Assistant to the Chairman of the Russian parliament defense committee. A battalion s-400 can track 100 targets at a distance of 400-600 km and fire at 36 targets in one go.
