Vietnam approves MOU on establishing China-ASEAN Center

HANOI, Feb. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnamese government issued a resolution on Friday to approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Establishing the China-ASEAN Center signed in 2017, Vietnam News Agency reported Saturday.

In August 2017, the foreign minister of China, and foreign ministers or their representatives of 10 ASEAN member states signed the amended version of the MOU in Manila, Philippines, where they gathered for a meeting and agreed to build a higher level China-ASEAN strategic partnership.

The China-ASEAN Center was inaugurated in 2011 as an inter-governmental organization in a bid to promote cooperation between China and the ASEAN in multiple fields including trade, investment, education, culture and tourism.

The Vietnamese government has asked the foreign ministry to conduct diplomatic procedures in line with regulations and work closely with related ministries and agencies to realize the MOU, the news agency reported.

Vietnam serves as the rotating chair of ASEAN for 2020.

Major China-ASEAN expo to focus on innovative cooperation

NANNING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- The 17th China-ASEAN Expo, a major event for boosting trade and economic ties between both sides, is scheduled for Sept. 18 to 21, 2020, with innovative cooperation as its focus, expo organizer said Monday.

The event will be held in Nanning, capital of southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with Laos as the country of honor, the expo secretariat said.

This year's expo is expected to emphasize the scientific and technological aspects and added value of the exhibits, strengthen international cooperation in service trade and promote further integration in the industrial chain, supply chain and value chain between both sides.

Last year's event saw 2,848 enterprises participating. A total of 502 economic cooperation deals were signed at the event, of which 439 were international projects.

I alays support CN to keep selling raw materials like steel-rare earth to VN factories like other third world nations selling raw meterials to survie .VN already has 5G, so we dont need Hwei 5G, not mentioning Samsung just open a R&D center in VN focus on making high tech stuff.

Closing border will make both get hurt,VN has to find raw materials from other countries while CN will collapse under US sanction when they can not sell rare earth-steel to VN.

1.Car ? No, CN car suck.VN has FTA wt EU and we can buy EU car in cheap price, not mentioning our Vinfats car sale is also good.
2.Phone? No, Hwei phone is dead in VN while Samsung phone leading the market and Vinphone( VN phone) sale is also good.
3. Hwei 5G ? No, we have our own Viettel 5G, not mentioning Samsung just built R&D center in VN.
4. Clothes, shoes ?? No, 2/3 clothes,shoes factories in Guangdong r leaving CN and come to VN to avoid trade war.

U guys make big mistake when increasing labour salary too fast plus trade war making factories having no choice but moving out of CN ( apple still stay in CN cos Cnese is their biggest customers and will die if Cnese dont buy stupid but expensive Iphone).

VN dont nid anything but raw materials (like rare earth, cotton yard) from CN. EU must save money for med mask, tissue instead of Hwei 5G. CN has Nothing that ppl want to buy but raw materials now.
