I've always stated many of the tech Elon Musk's companies are designing are actually dual use..(including perfecting Full Self Driving's computer vision for unmapped navigation)

Wonderful vid and I agree with you though a proper underground transportation on Mars will not have personal vehicles. I believe over-ground transportation on Mars will be a combination system of airship and cyclorotor. Airships are again getting popular on Earth. Some elements of Tesla Full Self Driving may be usable on airships on Mars.

But I wonderful about living in lava tubes because the vid itself says that satellites have observed collapsed lava tubes so how safe are they ? Who knows they structural integrity ? Wouldn't it be safe to do something like ground radar mapping of suitable sites and bore there ? Perhaps dig a network of trenches and cover their tops with mud and concrete ?

Lastly, about power generation on Mars the concept of using solar power has two disadvantages : the size of the solar power cell field and the arrival of dust storms. There's a most wonderful idea developing in the field of electricity generation which will change the political, socio-economic and technological elements on Earth and make more available the means to go further out into space. Using neutrinos. Neutrinos are everywhere and on Earth streaming in billions every second through most things including humans and things that humans will build. A German organization Neutrino Energy Group is developing modular an electricity battery that will have a nanometric power converter cells ( converter because neutrinos themselves have no charge but they have kinetic energy that can be harnessed ) that will be connected to a regular rechargeable battery to hold the charge. This modular battery should be able to power everything from a torch to a computer to a stove to a vehicle to a Mars suit and life pack and so on. With the converter cell The German organization is collaborating with some non-German organizations including in Russia and India. You can search for more detailed info. Musk doesn't have the technology required to terraform mars and as a matter fact Mars is unhabitable for human life but there are other planets out there that can host human beings but Musk or any current human beings can go there because they don't have the technology for it... They live in infancy in terms of technology currently

Yes, that was an unwise idea of Elon towards solving the problem of transportation in the world. His thinking came from that American idiot Henry Ford who I think was the culprit in popularizing the idea of personal transport vehicles and thus creating the most polluting industry in history. What Elon Should have done is :

Musk doesn't have the technology required to terraform mars and as a matter fact Mars is unhabitable for human life but there are other planets out there that can host human beings but Musk or any current human beings can go there because they don't have the technology for it... They live in infancy in terms of technology currently

There is no proper world other than Mars that humans can step on by the end of 2030 as a planting-the-flag mission and then by the mid-2030s have a small settlement probably within a cave. But which other planets are you talking about that can host humans ?

There is no proper world other than Mars that humans can step on by the end of 2030 as a planting-the-flag mission and then by the mid-2030s have a small settlement probably within a cave. But which other planets are you talking about that can host humans ?

It is unhabitable. The weather is to much fuked up and would kill humans immediately besides the gravity is not ideal. If WE were to ever colonize a planet it will have to be outer space there are couple of suitable planets out there.. We don't have the technology for it currently as I said before. We need zero-point energy

The vid in the OP speaks about living underground on Mars and it speaks of the possibility of rotating houses to counteract the low gravity.

If WE were to ever colonize a planet it will have to be outer space there are couple of suitable planets out there..

I asked you before which are those other suitable planets. :)

It requires thermonuclear weaponry for mars to terraform on its own.

I’m being sketchy here, but there’s a way to blow two nukes, one at each pole, to terraform mars by increasing the temperature and introducing bacteria into the soil

1. Blowing up nukes at the two poles was originally proposed by Elon but, as I understand it, okay the water in the ice caps will go up and form a water vapor and carbon dioxide cover in the atmosphere that will prevent the solar radiation bouncing from the ground from escaping back into space thus heating the planet. But the issue is that this water vapor and carbon dioxide cover in the atmosphere will be gradually taken away by the solar wind because the planet has no magnetosphere to deflect most of the solar wind. And while the water vapor and carbon dioxide layer is being taken away by the solar wind there are no trees, seas and other gas sources on Mars to replenish the taken away water vapor and carbon dioxide. Maybe in two or three years a robotic mission has to be sent to Mars to enter the huge Olympus Mons volcano to see if it is really extinct or there is something in there to restart it and contribute to Mars' global warming.

2. The soil of Mars is supposedly not suitable for most bacteria from Earth so there must be multiple synthetic bacteria produced taking bits from cyanobacteria, oxygen-producing bacteria, CO2-producing bacteria and methane-producing bacteria and Mars should be massively seeded with these and these bacteria should also tolerate what the marsdaily.com website said are superoxides which the site said can produce chemical burns on humans.

Money has not much to do with space exploration. Pakistan has lot more money than Elon's projects so can Pakistan go to Mars by itself ? It's all about the intent, ambition and steadfast innovation and simplification in technology.

It's come a long way in design simplification, in a bit of innovation and in adopting two or three good ideas of others. The design continues but I am at a stage where in some days I can speak to financiers for me to put out a prototype in ten months to a year. I am good unlike professional and irrational skeptics who don't contribute to betterment themselves but keep needling those who make the effort to bring out something nice. So, you must be around thirty, yes ? What's your idea contribution ?
