What exactly does PDM led government hope to achieve in a year? I mean there is no where near enough time to start implementing any long term policy decisions, why not just announce an election now so a stable government can take over with a view to long term planning?

Or are they simply just desperate to get a year of looting in before they lose the elections again in 2023?

Well I am referring to their political goals here, all politicians/office holders etc in Pakistan line up their pockets but I mean are they hoping the elections are delayed in 2023 or that IK/PTI is so severely hampered before then, that another hung parliament comes in to power so they can do the same as they did just now with buying lotas?

If the elections happen in 2023 or earlier, PTI will win close to a 2/3 majority, but the longer the elections are delayed, the likelihood of a hung parliament increases.

The main goal is to control the civil bureaucracy and make it clear to them that PMLN can come back at any time hence loyalty should be with PMLN. Secondly, 2/3 majority is out of the question as the establishment will never allow it.

I actually think, PTI will be banned and IK disqualified. A deal will be offered to IK to keep out of foreign affairs appoint an acceptable CM in Punjab and only then will he have islamabad.

This policy of threatening the army with Sindhudesh by PTI and humiliation by PML-N seems to work and also having lobbies in US helps.

It is sad indeed. Pakistan seems to have no future like this.
