Both cases you cite are not what they seem. In Kalburgi, the police stated:

"There was no communal issue in the village. There was a personal issue that came up between them. We were told that the boy gifted her a phone and had approached her before this murder took place," a police official said.

In Nasik, the murder was the result of a road rage incident.

But of course, it is not surprising for a member from the depraved society to use such incidents to defend the culprits of another crime.
