Tried Endless Space or Sins of a Solar Empire? There's a new Endless Space out this year.

And Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion got a new expansion earlier this week.

DIstant worlds is on a league of its own, 20 different types of resources , private sector , trade lanes , mining stations , shipyards , resort bases , research bases , everything being customizable, it tries its best to simulate a real space economy. max with 1400 systems solar systems having planets revolve around stars and moons revolve around planets. that's around 50k systems... and not to mention enslaving non humanoid species

Other than that i play Stellaris, Endless Space 2 looks promising

Tangentially, are you more into exploration or exploitation? I'm a big fan of Civilization type games (Which I play at work against my coworkers), and occasionally delve into real-time strategy like Sins of a Solar Empire, but I'm more into exploration games... so long as they aren't waling simulators (or flying sims).

And thus, I can't wait for No Man's Sky. 18 Quintillion Planets to explore!!

I don't care if there are no missions, no quests, nothing but exploration (and exploitation and some combat from what I've read). I can't wait!

Recently I have been playing a hell of a lot of Wolfenstein the New Order, and for the past several months I have been trying to get through Persona 4. I can't recommend both games enough!

I'm a big fan of Civilization type games (Which I play at work against my coworkers), and occasionally delve into real-time strategy like Sins of a Solar Empire, but I'm more into exploration games... so long as they aren't waling simulators (or flying sims).

This game looks so boring i don't understand the hype behind this...

Wolfenstein New Order all the way! It's cheaper, and is certainly one of the more unique FPS games I have played. AC Syndicate is just another AC from the looks of it. Not to mention the rocking songs in Wolfenstein. Here are some trailers:

Wolfenstein New Order all the way! It's cheaper, and is certainly one of the more unique FPS games I have played. AC Syndicate is just another AC from the looks of it. Not to mention the rocking songs in Wolfenstein. Here are some trailers:
