Having a good airforce with lethal bombing capability would be a serious force multiplier of great magnitude. Talis cannot launch mass operations and will be force to do run in small gangs which would be easier to eliminate.

hahahah i didnt notice it but maybe its a opium field, Helmand has high concentration of poppy cultivation which is usually a good source for the Talis and other thugs. That being said things will change with alternative source such Safron which brings in good cash for the farmers.
