We know where this is heading. The Americans are engineering a major conflict between Pakistan and the TTP. The Americans are obviously butthurt about the loss in Afghanistan and they hold Pakistan directly responsible. This temporary cuddling is only meant to infiltrate and get as much first hand knowledge as possible. The Americans have some scores to settle with Pakistan. Bajwa is a fool to think otherwise. We have been in conflict for 2 decades with the US/NATO. Such mistrust cannot be resolved overnight. The Americans are shrewd and cunning. They have found an opening with a traitor like Bajwa. Of course the Americans are fully exploiting the moment. Bajwa is a desperate fool. He was promised gold for getting rid of Imran Khan, but the Americans have already broken their promise. We know why Bajwa has to openly beg for IMF loans. The Americans haven't delivered. The Americans are now going to build more momentum for themselves and extract many more concessions from Bajwa.

Yes, the relationship between Pakistan and US has faced some challenging periods in recent past. But the current administration in both countries seem to have resolved to set things straight. Pakistan has more people to people contact with the US (and UK) than any other non - Muslim country in the world. This can be easily verified with the number of flights operated by PIA to US/UK compared to other countries. Such ties cannot easily wither away.

India's relationship with the US should not be seen in the context of US-Pakistan relationship.
