Vice Admiral again moves court challenging Navy chief's appointment

.
What kind of armed forces are they running?
Mutiny within the senior ranks is much more worrisome, than the threat posed by the enemy.

Banana republic of India.

Their military is resorting to mutiny, their PM is publicly threatening the use of nuclear weapons another state, their establishment continues to deceive their public about fake strikes and casualties, and every day they persecute their minorities. The world really needs to wake up to the reality of India is before it's too late.

How come this amounts to mutiny ?? It's a dispute and there are well established mechanism and law for handling similar dispute resolutions. Be it Central Administrative Tribunals or other Higher courts.

It's the military not some corporate company, that he's having a disagreement with his superior.
Now what if war breaks out and this Vice Admiral is given an order and as he doesn't recognise his superior's appointment, would he follow that order.

And even if he is ready to follow, would the Navy Chief trust him in any condition, given their current status.

A leader who disputes to lead his people is certainly not a leadership material.

You are either eligible and you surface, or when you are not chosen, you show your personal leadership quality and set aside. Fighting to be the first in leadership is never a noble cause.

Irrespective of what organization it is, every individual enjoy similar democratic rights in India, that is applicable to the defense services as well. They also have grievance and grievance redressal mechanisms. That doesn't mean he will not follow orders. Irrespective what the current situation wrt to posting and promotions are happening, he will follow any order to it's letter and spirit. The reason why the world never saw a military coup or mutiny yet within Indian defense forces.

An in this particular case, nothing is personal between the two chief in question, it's just the seniority and the appointment process of the government that is being questioned. The current Navy chief won't be even a party in this case. It will be the Vice Admiral Vs GOI.

Hope you got the point. :-)

There is a clear point based criteria for the process of promotion as service chiefs already in place, and that is being practiced for decades now. Since the current government choose to ignore that, the vice admiral is well within his rights to challenge the process. Let the courts decide what is right. Ain't that fair enough ?? :-)

It is must be difficult to under a democratic process and legal remedies an individual has but it is must be more difficult to understand that a civilian govt chooses the chief not the other way round.

Dont worry about the Indian navy, as far as i have seen them, they are the most disciplined arm out of the three, and this issue is between 2 vice admirals, The case is justified as the person who filed the case is senior and the one being given command is junior, The vice admiral is a fine man, and is the current commander of the A&N tri services command....

It could also be that the Vadm believes this to be a political appointee based om Hindutva and meek following of a facist government and is protesting the erosion of professionalism.
Can be the case, but Vice admiral has more set of failures in ops than 2 in command, it could be the effectiveness of handling the ops, what has Armed forces got to do with hindutva agenda Oscar??? There is nothing of that sort...
