There were other issues, but it all essentially came down to the price of oil. Chavez was doing great when his government was spending a bunch of money from oil revenue and raised living standards. Maduro tried to do the same thing. It worked just fine until the money from oil dried up.

A one trick pony. Russia is next. It won't be long before they're wiping their asses with newspaper in Moscow.

We'll see. The price of oil has stabilized for now. But if it crashes again, Russia (and others) could indeed be in trouble.

I think so e of thw gulf countries qill go the same way. I think capitalism and free market is the best system. Socialism is evil and will lead to this.
