Velayati: Rohingya crisis is an Israeli plot

That perhaps convinced Chinese not to veto latest resolution.

What convinced China and Russia was that there was literally nothing in the "resolution" (it was more of a press statement) worth vetoing :D

Even the MSM agrees:

http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/latest-myanmar-forms-committee-rohingya-49812947

They also called for a presidential statement from the Security Council. That would become part of its official record, unlike press statements. ( - Again not even calling for resolution but just a better statement)

So there wasn't even a vote on any resolution. Simply an agreed press statement after closed door meeting (where China and Russia basically said no to having any serious UN condemnation of MM).

We all know what happens regarding actual resolutions on the subject:

LMAO..... What's wrong with some Iranian leaders? They see Jews everywhere. Lol
Made my day.
What's funnier is that neither Iran nor Gulf Arabs are doing anything in proportion to their barking. Gulf Arabs and Iranians have done more to spread division within Muslim countries for their own sectarian/political agenda than any good.

"...Pakistan is selling supersonic F17 to Myanmar & also in talk to award them the license to build it in Myanmar directly. No doubt Myanmar needs those for future fight with the ARSA. Will your enlightened mind now admit that Rohingya crisis is a P@ki plot to sell their useless war machines?"
They don't hide their hatred for Pakistan. Yet why haven't they militarily intervened in Myanmar to save their ethnic kinsmen from getting ethnically cleansed?

Leaders who condone state sanctioned murder by methods like stoning....of gay people, adulterers and other such "criminals".....calling others cruel...and expecting to have credibility. Yeah ok.

Is Iran really going to criticize and attack China and Russia when they inevitably block the UNSC from any action/statement on this crisis?
Lol Iran is just trying to gain more followers in the Arab/,islamic world. Nothing wrong in that. :D

Well, I don't think Iran ever claimed to be less Cruel than the Burmese junta. I'd say if anything Iranian laws are more cruel than those of Burma as you said. So I don't think mullah calling Burma(or its leaders) a cruel country/leader means much. It's just a PR exercise if you look at it properly.:D

Velayati made the statement on Saturday, expressing grief regarding the brutality, and said the Israeli regime has conspired with Myanmar's government against Rohingya Muslims

The Iranian Supreme Leader’s senior international affairs adviser Ali Akbar Velayati in a statement criticised the ongoing crackdown against the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, pointing the Israeli regime’s role behind the crisis.

Velayati made the statement on Saturday, expressing grief regarding the brutality, and said the Israeli regime has conspired with Myanmar’s government against Rohingya Muslims, reports the Tehran.

He said: “The Zionist regime’s plot to cleanse its cruel and child-killing image and promote the culture of cruelty and oppression against children, the elderly and innocent people in coordination with the government of Myanmar shows a horrible and organised crime against the deprived Rohingya Muslims.”

It is the responsibility of all international organisations, including the United Nations (UN), Human Rights Watch (HRW) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as world countries to understand that the horrendous crimes are a systematic plot, Velayati said.

He further made an appeal to all the prominent figures and authorities including the UN Secretary-General, OIC and HRW to urge the Myanmar government to take measures for immediately stopping further crimes against the Rohingya Muslim minority group.

He also urged for deploying fact-finding teams to Myanmar in order to monitor the conditions of the Rohingya people to send humanitarian aid accordingly.

Velayati is also the head of The Expediency Discernment Council research wing’s Center for Strategic Research and the secretary general of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening.

CAIRO, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Human rights groups criticized Israel for the continued sale of weaponry to the Myanmar junta amid violence against Rohingya Muslims, local media reported on Saturday.

More than 100 tanks as well as boats and light weapons have been sold to the Myanmar government by Israeli arms companies, investigations by several human rights watchdogs have found, according to MENA news agency.

One company, TAR Ideal Concepts, has also trained Myanmar special forces in northern Rakhine state, where much of the violence is taking place, posting pictures on their website of its staff teaching combat tactics and how to handle weapons.

There is a U.S. and EU embargo on selling arms to Myanmar, which was under military rule.

Israel's high court will decide on whether to ban arms sales to the country later this month after a petition by Israeli acitivists.

The Israeli defense ministry defended arms sales, saying the courts had no jurisdiction over a "diplomatic" issue, the report said.

TEHRAN, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that violence in Myanmar against the Rohingya Muslims have sounded alarms for the death of Nobel Peace Prize, Tehran Times daily reported.

Khamenei called Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, a "cruel woman" since the crimes against Rohingya Muslims are taking place under her eyes.

Khamenei also called on Muslim nations to take practical steps to stop violence against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

Ayatollah Khamenei calls Aung San Suu Kyi a ‘cruel’ woman

TEHRAN - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday called Aung San Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace prize winner, a “cruel woman” in which crimes against Rohingya Muslims are taking place with her approval.

The Leader said events in Myanmar also sounded the death knell for Nobel Peace prize.

Stressing the need for “practical” measures against Myanmar by Islamic countries, the Leader said such practical actions would not entail a military campaign, but the Muslim countries “should mount political, economic, and trade pressure on the government of Myanmar and cry out against such crimes in international circles.”

The catastrophe in Myanmar should not be downgraded to a sectarian conflict between Muslims and Buddhists, Ayatollah Khamenei underscored, describing the crisis as a political issue that might have been affected by some degree of “religious bigotry.”

The “cruel” government of Myanmar is committing crimes against Muslims before the eyes of Islamic countries, the international organizations, and the hypocritical governments which falsely claim to be advocating human rights, the Leader deplored.

He also criticized the UN secretary general for only a verbal condemnation of the crimes against Muslims in Myanmar, saying the self-proclaimed advocates of human rights that sometimes “raise hue and cry for the punishment of a criminal in a country” have surprisingly remained silent about the killing and displacement of tens of thousands of people in Myanmar.

Ayatollah Khamenei finally stressed that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should convene a conference on the catastrophe in Myanmar.

“Today’s world is the world of tyranny,” Ayatollah Khamenei noted, saying the Islamic Republic will remain honor-bound to rise against tyranny and express its stances “explicitly and courageously” against oppression anywhere in world, either in the occupied Palestinian territories, in Yemen, in Bahrain, or in Myanmar.

i am not surprised ISrael is involved its normal for them and also for Iran they need to send Arms Train Finance the Rohinga its time to take back what they deserve

.
If Israel is involved then Iran should send some Hezbollahs to Myanmar to fight. But all they do is send relief. Send some army and militia if you want to change the situation. Although I wouldn't like Hezbollah presence in our border.

No one will join and we'll be isolated. IMA is a big organization with many countries. They have to take the first step. Bangladesh will join later.

Myanmar's actions are 100% legitimized, or did you suddenly forget 2012?

IMA? It does not even exist on ground.

You want Iranian and others to initiate fight before you? Arent royingya kin of you bengali Nationalists?

IMA? It does not even exist on ground.
Islamic Military Alliance.....is it only to protect the Saudi Monarchy?
You want Iranian and others to initiate fight before you?
Yep. I don't want BD to get into any trouble before testing the water. If BD goes first then we risk being alone and the cost would be too much for us to bear alone.
Arent royingya kin of you bengali Nationalists?
Umm?? Why is that?

IMA have no structure, soldiers, it does not exists, how it will defend anyone.

Then why ask others to test the waters first?

they are not your Kin?

.
Then why ask others to test the waters first?
Because we as a poor country can't take too much risk. What if no one comes to aid us? Then we'll be fighting a war for years without doing any good......and only gain sanction from international community.
they are not your Kin?
I don't think any of my kin ever lived in Myanmar.
