I don't see champions of secularism in India raising hell over this issue. Why their reaction is limited to Hindus only? Is it because deep down they know that minorities in India are not secular?

1) people raising voice against atrocities done against minorities?
2) People not raising adequate voice (according to you) against the atrocities committed by minorities?

We want to make this a Nation were Hindu customs and practices are respected and not constantly attacked, ridiculed and made fun off. The more Hindus are attacked by liberals, the more "Beef" festivals are announced just to spite Hindus. The more confrontational Hindus will become. Hindus have been bending over backwards for far too long in history. Its the Liberals and sickulars which are forcing people like me and others to go to the extremes and be ultra Nationalists.

While respecting the religious sentiments, out dated religious practices should be abolished to stop or avoid such attacks..... now this includes the request for UCC....

I agree with a lot what you say brother.

But honestly, hear me as a fellow Indian and not as a Musalman.

The imposition of a ban on beef on every Indian is wrong. It is not secular. And we see it as the beginning of a concerted effort to push Hindu sensibilities on to all of us by force. Legal as it may be.

We have walked together for 70 years brother. This has never been a major mudda, and both communities have been reasonably careful not to offend one another.

This move tells us that the onus of respect has been taken away from us by force. To be replaced by force. Not even getting into the economics of this poorly thought out campaign and the havoc it is causing to Hindu and non Hindu alike.

I strongly protest the imposition of a ban on beef on all Indians.
