Disgusted with how Pakistani media is covering the drop scene of notorious Uzair Jan Blouch, a wanted terrorist with head money, criminal gang leader, extortionist and murderer of 400 innocent victims been called as " Janab Uzair Blouch Sahib" by Kashif Abbasi and Hamid Mir. If we are going to give so much respect and heroic fame to every terrorist, how will terrorism then be eradicate in Pakistan? Shame on the Pakistani media....A terrorist must be treated as terrorist doesn't matter his status or political affiliation.
Now to the Uzair Jan drama in the media. Most Pakistan Tv anchors look confused to me and all PPP leaders act like Pakistani public is living in stone age who cant recall back in time. The world knows terrorist Uzair Jan's affiliation with Pakistan People's Party except PPP leaders or maybe they are caught unprepared to handle this situation. Whatever the case maybe but Uzair Jan's case is very simple.
Layari has always been a stronghold of Pakistan People's party(PPP) from decades. In 2008, The PPP took under its wing a well known gangster named Abdul Rehman Boluch alias Rehman Dekoit to keep the Lyari vote bank in check and not allowing MQM to penetrate in Layari, in return PPP government gave him free hand to loot, extort and murder MQM members, if necessary. The gang was given a name of People's Amman committee. This was all a scheme of then President Zardari to get his share in the extortion money collected in Karachi and to protect his political interest in Layari.
Soon enough, Rehman Dakait went on his own crime spree and was dishonest in reporting his extortion money to Zardari. He fall out of favor and was shot by the police. Before that time, nobody knew who Uzair Jan Blouch was and what he did. After PPP started there political grievances with MQM and Mr. Zardari business of extortion was in loss, Mr. Zardari used Sindhi nationalist to stand up for their rights in Layari once again.
Who better to do this job than Dr. Zulafikar Mirza, naive, Sindhi nationalist, Mahajir hater and Zardari's best friend. Dr. Zulafikar Mirza, a provincial minister of interior, at the time, issued gun licenses to militants in the name of protecting Sindhi rights in Karachi. He admitted openly in Pakistani media that those guns are for to fire during wedding festivities but to protect Sindhi people against Mahajirs aggression.
It is well documented that Dr. Zulifkar Mirza met with Uzair Blouch and strengthened " Layari militant wing" in the name of protection from Mahajirs. Soon Karachi city dipped in bloodbath and everyday 7 to 14 people were killed in cross firing between rival gang wars between MQM and Layari gang led by Uzair Jan in Karachi, the metropolitan city saw its worst days from 2008 to 2012.
Later PPP under pressure from media, Pakistani establishment and MQM decided to disband Uzair Jan's operation in Layari. Under the policy of reconciliation by Zardari, Uzair Jan and Dr, Mirza felt betrayed by PPP. In 2012, PPP government ordered Layari cleanup operation at which time Dr. Zulafikar Mirza held a press conference against MQM and PPP and his protected Layari gang stood with Dr. Mirza in denouncing PPP government, Zardari and Rehman Malik.
The operations of 2012 were abruptly halted when Nawaz Sherif intervened, to gain political mileage by the conflict between the rivals and win the votes of people of Lyari. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Sindh leader Raja Saeed, Marvi Memon and Ghos Ali Shah met with Uzair Baloch, and also expressed solidarity with the people of Lyari.
Many of Uzair Jan's gang members were killed or arrested and Uzair Jan went in hiding and later was arrested by Dubai Police on the snitching of Nabeel Gobhol, ex MP of PPP and MQM who has his personal vendetta with Uzair Jan. Pakistani Intelligence Agencies used their influence with Dubai government and brought Uzair Jan back to Pakistan, where he was held captive at undisclosed location for interrogation. He was now brought to light in front of Pakistani media as arrested in the outskirts of Karachi.
During investigation, he confessed to killing 400 plus people on the command of his masters and getting billions of rupees in extortion money in Karachi, giving most to his political masters. Now the question arises what will be the outcome of this drama?
It depends, if Mr. Zardari is the target, Dr. Mirza and Uzair Blouch could become key witnesses to hang Zardari in a military court and if it was a political stunt by establishment, no witness will come forward to testify against Zardari or Uzair Jan and under Sindh government's weak persecution, he will be freed. Case closed.
