BRITISH politician Lord Nazir Ahmed said Pakistan needed evolution instead of revolution.
Speaking at a seminar International Scenario, Pakistan and Our Responsibilities, he said US had fixed head money on Hafiz Saeed to put Pakistan on defensive. He said, I announce $10 million reward on George W Bush, said a press release here on Tuesday. The moot was organized by Directorate of Student Affairs, PU. Lord Nazir said he would collect the money whether he had to beg in streets but Bush and Tony Blair should be charged with war crimes.
He said Western economies were touching their lowest and the US had gone under the debt of trillions of dollars. He said Iran was likely to be attacked by the US or Israel, which would be dangerous for the Western countries while Shia-Sunni disputes, would be fanned in the Muslim countries through conspiracy. He said if Iran was attacked, the Muslim nation should unite against these powers.
He said Pakistan could become one of the best countries in the world as there were huge reservoirs of gold and coal and there was no lack of talent. But, true leadership was required to achieve that goal, he said.
He said the President of Pakistan should invite Taliban and aggrieved Baloch for parleys. Director Students Affairs, senior faculty members and a big crowd of charged students attended the seminar.
Call for modern education: British parliamentarian Chaudhry Mohammed Sarwar said it was vital to educate our new generation on modern lines to remove the stigma of terrorist on Muslims.
Addressing a ceremony organized by a trust here on Tuesday, he said without such education, we could neither get freedom from economic slavery nor could we achieve our lost glory in the world.
The ceremony was also addressed by Major (Retd) Rafique Hasrat, Amjad Islam Amjad and others.
Meanwhile, prizes were also distributed among students with distinctions. On the occasion, Chaudhry Imtiaz ur Rehman donated Rs 12 million for the students.
