I object your first argument but agree with the second. F-4 planes were used in the drills so observing a plane that's gonna phase out in coming years is not that of a big issue.

Now why would you say that....US has every right to find out why one of its important strategic ally that provides airbase for its troops transitions to Iraq and Afghanistan (not to mention all supply routes for fuel and water,etc to the war zone) has gone bunkers and now deals with Iran, China, Syria. They also not so happy how Turkey rudely kicked the Israelis out of the Anatolian exercise last year but now China is OK?
Turkey needs to do some explaining as into where they actually stand as an ally of US which shares important classified intelligence with.

The same thing can be said about Armenia, does Armenia stand with their buddies the Russians or have you decided to switch over to the U.S?

Turkey does not need to explain anything. It is every nation's right to make friends with their neighbors (despite the protests of others) and pursue friendship and links with distant partners. The USA does not own the world and has no right to complain.

Yet under these circumstances where the Chinese only got to look at dated F-4's then the French should be kicked out of NATO since they are selling 2 Mistral class LHDs to Russia with full technology transfer included (the Russians are paying a premium for this). You know the guys the whole reason NATO was setup in the first place???

When it comes to France, it's business.
When it comes to Turkey it's betrayal of the alliance.

Given Westerners' attitude toward Turkish citizens & Muslims in general, it's prudent for Turkiye to grab a few back-up allies in addition to NATO. Western governments might put up with a predominantly Islamic nation due to common political interest, but with the end of the Cold War, there's little reason for the predominantly Christian/culturally European NATO to put up with someone from a different civilization all together.

Wrong. Turkey has to do no such explaining. They are a sovereign nation and as a sovereign nation they are capable of making their own choices, unless you are suggesting that Turkey is subservient to the US?

Well this unwillingness to accept non-Christian/culturally European nations is really the only thing keeping Turkey from joining the EU.

The US is a global Power and is projected to be at least until 2050 ; So yes, The poster of the poster still has a point. China still has some way to go to call itself a regional military power at least.

1. Japan had the most advanced army in Asia at the time, Chinese Qing government collapsed and China was in the middle of a civil war so Japan had all the advantage.

2. Japan pussied out after 2 of their cities got nuked so it wasn't really a "fight".

Basically the Japanese are pussies. They will attack you with all out aggression when you are at your most vulnerable but cowers away after being hit hard.

3. China doesn't have to call it self anything, especially for India who tested China and got slaughtered in 1962 so India knows 1st hand who is more powerful than who.

Turkey and US are military allies in term of NATO. Now Turkey and China have a joint exercise and US complains to his ally Turkey.

S. Korea and China are military “enemies” due to Korea war. Now S. Korea and US have a joint exercise and China complains to his enemy S. Korea.

Is it now clear to you that how strikingly different the two cases are, instead of "the same"?

Turkiye was/is not under control of USA. In fact, we seemed under control of usa but the reason was the threat of USSR and responsibilities for being member of NATO. After cold war, the situation has been changed and also countries policies have been chanced including Turkiye.

So this is a little hard to recognize and understand for USA that Turkiye has been changed after cold war. They still want Turkiye to fallow their orders !

Turkiye wants to improve its own relationship with all of countries around the world including China. Since 90's the world is really small for everyone. So Nations can't live alone.

I think USA doesn't want to forget it's habits about countries which were under defense umbrella of US.
