It's a good deal for India, there are a lot of countries willing to sell high tech equipment to India and India is better off getting the original and the best.

Like the bullet train and the metro in Delhi, Japan helped India with the money and the tech, Japanese know how is unbeatable, in my books India is doing the right thing.

Both Japan and Korea have a massive US military presence, and in Japan it has caused a lot of resentment. I thought Indian folks were against any US troops on Indian soil. Yes, they have reaped economic benefits but they given something in return.
Mexico? The building of the wall, leaving NAFTA and pretty much nothing of any substance given to them.
You're then comparing India with Briton, the nation that bought the US into being and has long historic and cultural ties with them, and has fought practically every war by their side. Canada is a neighbour and part of the five eyes, or Anglo alignment.
