Given the fact that despicable act originated from your soil, you should learn to be alot more sensitive when discussing it. That kind of attitude is certainly not helping your country and the people in it, in the least. If you are reflecting the general views of the average Pakistani, then its really no surprise that the world is taking a very hard stand against your country.

Yes you are right. Abbottabad and Mumbai were completely different.

Mumbai : Metropolitan city. Attacked by gunmen on feet. 'Retaliation' by Indian forces. Killing of all militants except one, enjoying the biryani of the Indian government.

Abbotabad : Next to military complex. Attack by 2 choppers. Making lots of noise, hovering for 45 minutes, next to a Pakistani military training centre. Result. Everybody escapes. Humiliation for the complete armed forces. You are right. You cannot compare the two.

2) Any repercussions, we'll live with it, this is not Iraq or Afghanistan. I have faced off against Americans and their ART before, can do it again, any time of the day. Sure they will wreak havoc, but we are a nation of 180 million very opinionative and angry people. All I can say is that, those 'repercussions' will result in repercussions for the US that will make Vietnam seem like a picnic. Even as we speak, people are anticipating an attack on Iran and Lashkars are being formed to fight along side the Iranians in case of an attack. These people are in over there heads with American hegemony over the region, even the liberals are put off the by the lack of concern for loss of Pakistani life shown by the Americans. My advice to the US, tread carefully.

I'm sure most posters here would know by now that militarily there is nothing much Pakistan can do against the US. Blind patriotism isn't helpful, the best thing your government can do is to give in for now and defuse the situation. Your position isn't very strong, as you can tell from the high handed attitude the Americans are having towards u.

And given the current on-goings in Pakistan, finding an excuse would be easy for them. It is in your best interest to exercise diplomacy and sort things out.
