Unlike India though the most North Korea does is conduct some nuclear explosions or test ballistic missiles. Meanwhile the Indians are always trying to menace the Chinese at the border. There is a difference. If North Korea tried to break through the DMZ and acquire more of South Korea's territory then the US would definitely attack.

Whatever IAF has, PLAAF has better and in bigger numbers.

They only prevented an US attack because they have nuclear weapons ... not to mention the proximity of Seoul to North Korea.

Nuclear deterrence have limits though.

No but the article implies if the Indians bought more Western airplanes like the Rafael or the F-16 it will. Honestly the IAF doesn't pose much of a threat to the PLAAF at all as long as China can field sufficient numbers of J-20s. The PLAAF would probably gain aerial superiority on day 1 in a hypothetical conflict and hold onto it for the rest of the war. The IAF would only be good for harassing Chinese forces but not actually contesting airspace. I'm sure the Indians are already aware of this so they probably won't send many of their top fighters into the frontlines should this happen.

those GE F110 engine are robust and more reliable than their russian counterpart, you could do more sorties with an Eagle rather than Flankers.
even the late Indonesian air force chief of staff are considering to replace our Flanker fleet with Eagles.
