If US got all worked up, it means they are concerned about their tech being illegally modified by Pakistan without
their permission. Otherwise why would they care, they already know very well about your missile program, China's
cooperation etc.

Thanks also for the regular largesse to Pakistan that continues to this day, knowing fully well that it will be diverted against India in the form of direct arms and finances.

This is good for Pakistan. India has been shopping in the US market for quite a few things as of late. Politically, I'm sure the Russians will be butthurt and more willing to sell to Pakistan after deals like this are inked.
