As I said before, they are not! They are evaluating all fighters that could be on offer, even paperplanes like Sea Typhoon, or Sea Gripen was included, although IN didn't send the RFI to Saab and as a carrier fighter it clearly don't belong to the best.

As I said earlier all of them has capabilities to make make those 'paperplanes' into within time. So I think we don't need to worry.

First of all, you must take to account that IAC2 is also only on paper now, so the expected induction in 2018 is only possible, if everything goes perfect and we know how our developments goes right? Secondly, Pak Fa is expected to be ready by 2016 and you don't need that much time to redesign it for the naval use. Even a naval FGFA will not need that much time, because as we know the design will only differ in single and twin seat, so it will adopt all changes from N-Pak Fa too.
But as I said, I don't expect a single fighter type for that carriers, but one of these and later a naval Pak Fa / FGFA version too.

Naval version needs a lot of modification. Also PAK FA is a huge fighter, needs better modifications for carrier based operations. As of Now N-PAK FA is also a paperplane. There is no indications that it will be available in 2018, while F-35 is a very good possibility.

As I also said, PAK FA is way better than F-35 but Navy don't have better option than F-35.

Yes, but upg Mig 29 and M2K will only stay in service till 2025, so doesn't really matter, otherwise you must add upgraded Mig 27, Mig 21 Bisons and Jaguars too.

I was talking about 2020 scenario. When all those fighters will be simultaneously in IAF/IN service.

Eh, this is pretty much a non-story at this point. India has no use for it until it gets an AC who can launch it, which won't be for a long time. Many things could be changed by then. India probably would prefer to develop its own fighters, but having a good foreign one on the table just in case isn't a bad idea right now.

Selecting, signing the deal, getting the fighter and training the pilots are not one day job. It will take time. So we should be ready with all these before the carriers are inducted.

Dnt wary they know that if want to sell F35 to Pakistan so they dnt have money for that ... and they dnt provide F35 free for anyone

Point. Though having an option like the F35 is a good thing to know. I'd rather plow on with Indian projects. We've gotta get there sometime.

Its good to know that USA has offered the F-35 for the second Time to india, Well I think India Must go for this, But not at the cost Of LCA which I must say, if its to replace the Mig 29's, then go for it

Really ........... If Us offer f35 for navy so we dnt have any AC that can carry these fighters before 2017 ... and i think that a big time we can develop our own Fighter ...

Or may be Russia is able to make Navel version of PAkfa till that time
