It will be blunder to buy any foreign jet after PAK-FA We need to mass produce Tejas & use numbers to fight our opponents
I don't think so. First there's no Pak-fa Naval Version. What are you going to put on the IAC-2 ?? 4.5+ Gen Fighter??? (That'd be stupid) And the Big Issue is ""Do American Allow any other fighter to be operated on their equipment (EMALS) A big No.. mericans are giving us their top end Machine is to sell us more weapons which we can't deny, and moreover Navy is already shown interests in F-35.
Tejas is not going to fighting any offensive wars. it'll be used as a point area defense. And Tejas will be in Good Numbers, so lets not worry about that here.
Today i will teach you how to interpret USA diplomatic jargons used for showing closeness and extended friendship, cooperation and boosting local country's economy by participation of US companies
Take the example below
US "helping" India to "make engine" for "next combat jets"
Helping == Earning money from
Make engine = make them buy engines from us with we sharing nothing
next combat jets = our old combat jets like F18/F16
So the line becomes
US "Earning money from" India to "make them buy engines from us with we sharing nothing" for "our old combat jets like F18/F16"
IAC-2 is only coming in 2030-33 and that is a good time for AMCA to be flying and be qualified.
For backup "Plan B" you already have Rafale. For "Plan C" we will have LCA Mk-II
US do not want to "sell weapon" kiddo, they want to exert "INFLUENCE".
If that reason is not good enough, EMALS is made from a separate company called General Atomic and the F-35 is made by Lockheed Martin.
The interface for the EMALS can either be changed or adopted for Indian Naval aircrafts. So its a Non Issue.
Finally Indian Navy has RULED OUT the F-35. What part of this do not NOT understand ? Tejas will do whatever ROLE is assigned to it.
Tejas is not going to fighting any offensive wars. it'll be used as a point area defense. And Tejas will be in Good Numbers, so lets not worry about that here.
Get rid of that myth. Would CAS to the ground forces be considered offensive or defensive? Say when they are attacking the enemy? Tejas can do that quite well, if the heavies can maintain air superiority.
Tejas can also act as a radar-silent shooter, with MKI being the hunter. (The bisons do that today.)
Tejas may not be suitable for air superiority or deep strikes into enemy territory, but it can and will do a lot more than point defence.
First of all AMCA would not come anywhere by 2030, IAC-II will be coming by 2027-29
backup plan,!!! certainly not Rafale, LCA on the Indian navy's most Prestigious Ship!!! Are you Nuts??? LCA will only be used along with Migs on IAC-1 rest of them will be used from shore
And how do you get influenced ??? Selling F-35 and EMALS, Apache, Chinooks, c-130, c-17, p-8i, M777 are all of them are the package of Influence.
Damnnnnnn.. GE or LM who ever develop machines, at the end they'll go through US Govt. if you want Emals then you've to buy F-35.
It can be changed but would you be allowed to change??? Certainly not only time will tell. and its highly unlikely Us would allow.
When did Indias Navy Ruled out the possibility of F-35 please do post me a link. Navy Never said that, they're still interested in F-35.
Again Placing Tejas on a nuclear carrier by 2027-30 when Chinese would be having 5th gen fighters launched from their N-Carriers and Artificial Islands is highly idiotic.
