Lol..India is now stuck after they "Successfully" blocked the sales of F-16 to Pakistan.
Now Lockheed is basically asking India to compensate for the financial losses caused to them by India by blocking the sales of their product to Pakistan.

Even if US gives India 20% of all they are promising then it will be a game changer for India's fighter jet

Well yes. It will be a brand new Fighter Jet for India which India has no experience in using maintaining or flying. True it will change the game for India,......for the worse
As far as Pakistan is concerned. We have 40 year experience with the jet. No matter what advanced version India gets, Pakistani pilots will still eat them for breakfast.

Lol..You cant fathom Indian stupidity when it comes to hating Pakistan.
They have made big promises to Lockheed for blocking sales of F-16 to Pakistan.
Now Lockheed are a business entity and need sales. Their F-16 production lines and staff employed there are idle and ot making anything. The sales of F-16 to Pakistan was their big hope which India took away. Now Lockheed is basically asking for compensation.
You blocked our sales, now here, take the F-16 and make us some money. thats what Lockheed are saying

F-16 is still a very capable aircraft. The best thing with this plane is its battle proven.

If India does buy it, it should not be with so much equipment that Lockheed is offering to sweeten the deal. There is a trade off with loading so much equipment and technology to an airframe that was not designed for all this.

F-35 might be the very best but looking at the threats and challenges, its an expensive toy and not much.

Still, wars can be fought quite well with F-16s, F-18s and A-10s. These planes have technology and capability needed to fight conventional wars. May be its end of the era of conventional wars thats looming, not so much of the aircraft technology. After all, no aircraft could have achieved what America has by first starting a war through proxies, namely AlQaeda and ISIS and then framing its war on terror against those proxies.

F-35 might be the very best but looking at the threats and challenges, its an expensive toy and not much.

F35 will soon be the most value for money weapon system.
Only issue is source code. India can't afford to have such a vital asset that can't be exploited to the full potential independently.

It will also kill AMCA. Americans always offer you stuff when they feel like you will develop it yourself.

The block 70 would be better than anything in Pakistan or indian air power

But it would only arrive in 2022 and delivery or manufacture of 100 planes would take until 2032

I do feel India should stick with Rafale & Tejas now only
