US think tank wants Oz not to supply uranium to India

yea? who else is going to sell you more uranium?? you would think india be eyeing off buying off them since australia did have a ban on selling uranium to australia.. yet they still try to get us to sell them uranium.. australia is the biggest source of uranium in the world... supply and demand drives the prices.. and just like when you get loans off a bank, the bigger the risk, the more money you neeed to save to get a loan. same principle.... if india wants uranium.. it will buy it...

Ever heard of Mongolia, South Africa,Kazakhstan, Russia, Namibia, Canada ? They too have Uraniuma and we have already signed deals with them.

If Australia is willing to sell, it will sell on India's terms..not on Australia's.

We have plenty of alternatives.

its not about blackmail, its about india not having signed the NPT, and if australia should compromise on selling it, india should compromise on price until you sign the NPT.... its black and white, sign NPT or face higher prices, thats fair enough, its not blackmail.. if you want uranium you will buy it, if you dont want to buy it off us then dont.. we dont care lol but india does

I dont know where you got that..but the truth is exact opposite. India could not care less whether you Aussies sell us Uranium or not. We have plenty of other options.

If you want a piece of Indian Uranium sales cake, it gonna be on India's terms (market price, no interference in internal affairs). We give you the cash, you give us the uranium. No "sign this", "sign that" drama.

You write as if you are a part of the Indian government. You pretend in your post that you make the decisions. You don't.

The fact is that the Indian government wants to buy uranium from Australia and has been lobbying the Australian government to sell to them regardless of the fact that there is other countries selling uranium.

Also, with the sale being approved, the sale is on Australias terms, not Indias. In order for the sale to continue, India must agree to strict conditions of sale. India has agreed to that aswell.

When writing things, try not to act like you are part of the government and the decision making process.
