US tells Delhi to back off Pakistan and lay low in Afghanistan

Even though it is interesting to read, how should we feel about this? And how will the Indians react upon this?
Will America's words really mean that India's involvement or influence sphere in Afghanistan will reduce or dissapear?
I do think it's a positive sign to see the U.S. coming to its senses and realizing that India is often working against Pakistan instead of working with us on the issue of terrorism, anyways, bits and pieces, and step by step we'll hopefully achieve our goals and root out this menace across the Afghan/Pakistani border.
Don't blame me for being skeptical though.

Its common sense that neither India nor Pakistan will be ready to give an inch of land ....political compulsion or whatever.

If this is true what are we fighting for here. I am looking for a good answer from Pakistani friends not any hate comments.

Mr Asim, before taking about Kashmire as added as new province, you have in the process of losing two other provinces. (FATA and SWAT).

Well FATA and Swat is not goinig anywhere, Plus Afghanistan is controlled by pahstun and all wealthy and educated pahstun lives in Pakistan. Plus all trade facilities for Afghanistan are located inside Pakistan. So, nothing going anywhere but its only transition of thoughts in the region. It always happened time after time. Human mind can't be stagnant they always look for change. So, this situation Pakistan is dealing with Pashtun is just a transition of thought, but they are not going anywhere.

On the first option you have about 70 % of Kashmir in any case. In today’s world is it a solution for any country to give up land. Even if you threaten to use all your nukes on us I don't see this happening. It will be unacceptable for any country to even think on this lines India or Pakistan.

The second option sounds good but it also will not happen as it will be a unstable state right from birth as both Pakistan and India will try to influence it and honestly the region will not be economically or militarily sustainable. After the Afghanistan experience globally there will be not takers for this idea.

What is your idea on freezing the LOC as the international borders will it be acceptable to Pakistan? Don’t know if India will want that ….why I say this is it is the easiest position to take as both countries have nothing to gain or loose. I understand it will be tough on people of Kashmir but it is the case with all regions right from Punjab to Rajasthan families has been split.

If this is the reality what are our two countries talking about since last sixty years. If all good relation between our two countries are hostage to Kashmir issue we should try to solve it .Some middle ground has to be stuck for this what can it be in your suggestion.
The money spent on attacking and defending each other in name of Kashmir can be used for development of Kashmir.

All I am trying to do is get an idea how people on other side of the border see this. All agree it has to be a win-win situation.

Correction-India holds roughly 2/3rds of Kashmir, Pakistan holds roughly 1/3rd.
