US, Taiwan, Japan gallop ahead in advanced semiconductors while China remains stuck at mature-node chips

So when will any Chinese semicon company be able to charge $20,000 per wafer? What sector of the Chinese consumer market WILL consume so much of this from TSMC that China will be able to dictate the global market? Not only that, TSMC will bring this to CONUS to protect the technology from China. Let us cut the product's price by 1/2. What Chinese semicon company will be able to charge $10,000 per wafer according to what the Chinese market want? Do YOU know? For TSMC to charge that price, it must be a high end product using the latest manufacturing technology. With the current ban on human and hardware resources to China, what product lines can Chinese semicon companies produce that will enable China to dictate global conditions as you ridiculously claimed? Self delusion? Go look in the mirror.

The highlighted is the real self delusion. As usual, you do not know what TF you are talking about. What Taiwan is doing is diluting their technological vulnerabilities, especially in the semicon industry, by building in the US. So can you mock US all you want, but in the end, we and the rest of the world will benefit, and not only that, the buildup towards product acceptance from these new US fabs will be faster than you think.

Major players in the semiconductor supply chain in East Asia appear to be seeing it as inevitable for them to decouple with China in advanced industries involving sensitive technology, given concerns about the rapid pace of Beijing’s military modernization.​
The United States is taking the lead in building a “Chip 4” alliance with Taiwan, South Korea and Japan for increased economic security over a possible global chip crunch in the event of a contingency between Taiwan and China.​
It will take time and the decoupling will produce some pains, but given China's behaviors, even gone as far as talking about seizing foreign own assets, pretty much clinched the deal for decoupling. The US and the EU are not as difficult to take on the industry as you ignoramuses thinks. Plenty of land, construction capabilities and workers, business friendly environments, we will produce sooner than the Parade Line Army (PLA) can prepare for the Taiwan invasion.

China doesn't have Windows, Android, iOS, x86 processors, etc.

Even if China is able to produce the 1mn microchip, so what?

China is not able to see the whole picture, their security and rescue plan is flawed.

And if China thinks USA is trustworthy, ups, sorry...

China thinks they are safe right now, they produce products for Windows, Android, etc.

I never claim I am a semiconductor expert, but how the pricing and market demand relate is economical thing that you should understand, if you have ever learn basic economic.

Technology is a double edged sword. Amish reject modern technology and live healthier and happier than Americans do.

100 nm chips is more than sufficient for students. Young people in China should be banned from playing video games.

MIC 2025 is steadily on track. Remember, the goal was to provide 30% of chips needed for China's own consumption. China will hit that target probably by early next year. Majority of the market is still using 45nm to 28nm nodes, so pricing competitors out of those market should a a top priority.

The rest is icing on cake.
