And it has soured since 2k11 when they were caught red handed hiding the most wanted criminal in the world. No matter how innocent they claim they are, it created a very bad impression.

Pakistanis have dealt with situation very cleverly. They have deliberately left the door open for US to come to table. Its just matter of time before US patches up with Pakistan. Unfortunately india has nothing to offer to US in Afghanistan. Also India has been pushed back and humiliated time and again by China. So the only Key player left in the region is Pakistan.

As it should be. Diplomacy has to be handled with cold logic and deftly. Yes emotions are running high on our side, but at the end of the day, all doors must be kept open just because regardless of friends, Pakistan has to deal with this on its own. However I still stand by the stance that all aid should be rejected. This would allow Pakistan to deal with the Americans on equal footing. I do not foresee any major military operations in the near future. No one in Pakistan has the appetite for another round of suicide attacks within Pakistan for stirring up the hornet's nest. The focus needs to be on talks in Afghanistan and less about Americans trying to stake a claim on winning the war in Afghanistan.
