US Stealth UAV RQ-170 downed in IRAN

.
With early knowledge that the aircraft had likely remained intact, the senior U.S. official also told Fox News that President Obama was presented with three separate options for retrieving or destroying the drone. The president ultimately decided not to proceed with any of the plans because it could have been seen as an act of war, the official told Fox News. Among the options the U.S. considered were sending in a special-ops team to retrieve the drone; sending in a team to blow up the aircraft; and launching an airstrike to destroy it.

Official Confirms Authenticity Of Iranian TV Images Showing Lost U.S. Drone | Fox News

You have got to hand it to fox news, they can always pin something on Iran:

A senior U.S. official has confirmed to Fox News that images aired by Iranian state television do in fact show the secret U.S. drone that went down last week in eastern Iran.
"Yep, that's it," the official told Fox News. "And it's intact."
U.S. officials had been expecting the video to appear. The footage, which shows the aircraft intact, confirms the Iranians have custody of the drone but appears to refute Iranian claims that it shot down the RQ-170 drone.

Hmmm, I don't think Iran has ever said they shot it down, they have painstakingly explained that they brought it down intact from day one!!

what will be fun part if Iranian invite Chinese to come and take a look what they have...................lol

I think the Chinese and Russian air attaches in Iran must already have set of glossies on their table. Vagaries of war but still not enough to help Iran to do anything in face of a full Air Strike from the USA. Sad but true fact.

Iran releases video of downed U.S. spy drone

If this is true, that Iran jammed the drone's communications system and took over it, then Israel and USA are in for a rude shock!
not really,
why do you think they haven't touched us? Only threatened? They know our capabilities. If they thought we were weak, they wouldn't let us do whatever we want, as we're doing now.

I like this comment

I think the Chinese would be mostly interested in this - they have a full UAV program with who knows how many different prototypes and demonstrators - some tech in the drone probably could relatively easy be integrated in their UAVs - at least easier than in case of the Russians who would more or less have to start from scratch. In return Iran might get access to the new Chinese drones - which probably would be a good deal for both sides as China is really pushing this development. Who knows when the Russians would come up with something from this "catch".

for the one millionth time, it didn't crash. That's what the Americans are claiming. This was probably on its way to Pakistan from AFG and Iran disrupted the GPS link. Since day 1 Iran has been claiming that it was hacked and forced to land.

It looks like Iran took the revenge of Brigadier General Hassan Moqaddam. Also his picture is displayed in the background.

Well done Iran.

They even wanted to send troops to recover or recapture the lost drone (mikhastan niroo befrestan iran LOL)
seriously, they think they are dealing with a few somali pirates ? US politicians are extremely retardded

Drones come in with full permission of the GoP, whether you like it or not. So, you cannot shoot them down. Get the facts straight first.

When you have allowed it to happen, you cannot just go trigger happy and shoot them.

This is even more worse
