It is not necessary that every US President will treat Pakistan badly and/or back-stab it.

As for the self-respect part, development of JF-17 Thunder aircraft and the decision to make it the mainstay of PAF fleet are steps towards this end.

Bhai jaan, if buying large number of F-16s is to combat any future sanctions by cannibalising parts, then what I said before stands. They are not our friends and you'll see this unfolding in the future. We in the madaris look at things in light of Quran and Sunnah (as'salaathu was'salaam) and Islamic eschatology. Indeed, Christendom makes wonderful warbirds and technology. However, I don't trust their equipment; if it will operate or they give friend/foe codes to our enemy. Yes, I am very proud of our jf-17. I was talking in context of not spending billions on Christendom junk and investing that money into out country and defence industry.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, i've leant that planes are bought under the FMS program (is really a loan/credit which we have to pay back) and they tell us what they want sell us under the program. You should direct this to mainstream Muslims, I belong to minority Islamic Sect that has never been involved in any form of terrorism.
