Iran can threaten US. Just make sure they do it convincingly enough. After all, a couple of USN aircraft carrier battlegroups lurking around can be very convincing of our threats and the capabilities to back up those threats.

Actually if China would get behind sanctions it might put enough pressure on Iran to come clean and submit to full IAEA inspections. After all if their program is peaceful they have nothing to fear. This would for stall any military action against them. As it is now China's blocking of tougher sanctions makes it more likely there will be a war. Which will cut off China's oil supply from Iran which will hurt China as well.

Whatever you think of Israel is irrelevant. No one is gullible enough to be distracted. Here is something to think about...Mohammed Reza Heydari saw what the mullahs did to his fellow Iranians, got disgusted, resigned from his position as Iranian consul in Oslo, and requested political asylum. And he did it without demanding anything from Israel.
