And you know the very reasons why US is increased their capability in this region, they sure know that Chinese military is on the rise and they need to put more man and money into this region to counter China. As for your new toys display, it's not a matter of concern, China will find the way to counter it: when US dispatched F-22 in Asia we shown J-20 during Robert Gates's visit. We absolutely are denying China's ability to control it's near abroad. What purpose has those islands actually served? They've failed as a deterrent. The US operates in that region everyday, and all we hear are Chinese warnings and gnashing of teeth. How many warnings was it last time? 10 I believe?

China can't control its own near abroad. Why? Because up to now, China has failed to disengage the US from the region. China is in control? You tell yourself that the next time we park a carrier group in the SCS or deploy a BMD asset at your doorstep.
