i recognize they have veto'd it before, and generally they will veto in future... but world opinion does matter, if 100% proof was shown that atrocities were taking place etc, they would be forced to go with it.. or if they did veto it, they will look like total crap... and prove to the world they are not out for peace.... or, russia themselves would send peacekeepers and maintain their position there...

Maybe not utterly discount, but it will certainly not be by the US or western European forces. NATO is focused on Iran. A peacekeeping force by Russia is not completely out of the question though. I doubt China will intervene but it is also not something completely unthinkable. This would of course be consensual interventions.

Turkey, although NATO could maybe feel the need to intervene if full scale civil war breaks out and threatens its own stability. But that is just speculation.
