US seal on India’s key role in rebuilding Afghanistan.

We all know that Karzai (a puppet) has links with India as he has lived there for quite a few years. The point is, the government maybe allied, but not the Afghan people themselves. The majority that makes up their population is Pashtuns, the same ethnics that are in Pakistan. If one can say that if over 1 million Afghan refugees can go to Pakistan, they might as well be like Pakistanis. For now India is enjoying its time, as soon as NATO withdraws, there is no time to think about staying. Pakistan, which is a neighbour of Afghanistan has experienced a whole lot. When ISI can make U.S soldiers poop in their pants, India will be too easy to deal with. (Hint, Taliban is still alive.) Also may i remind everyone that China is Pakistan's ally. It already has played a role there. If they are looking to go in there to do build more infrastructure to counter India, Pakistan will be more than happy to give access.

We are giving them roads, hospitals, schools, jobs, education - most basic things that were expected to be provided by you. By providing such basic things we are giving afghan people hope and aspirations. Your best gift to Afghanistan was taliban in which you people often take pride.

Right and the facts speak for themselves:

Even if most Afghans were indifferent to India they would still hate the Pakistan state with a passion. Pakistan as a nation has almost solely played a destructive role in their nation and their history

Those who hvae guns in Afghanistan controls it ie Taliban and india cant do anything without taliban's nod their after usa leaves and to get taliban's nod india has to put petition at GHQ RWP.

The lady supporters of Talibans should know the punishment they will get under their rule, if they ever step out of their houses without a burqa or log on to internet and talk to the unknown men.. They should rather be thankful to the great brave forces who are knocking these sick middle-age ideology infested fanatics down..

By same logic Talibans are puppets of ISI..only difference is while both afganisthan and India celebrate the relationship while talibans have gone on to whip their masters a$$ time to time..

They are like the serpent who killed it's own master !!

If you have the time do go through this :

Journey of Friendship - Pakistan's Assistance to Afghanistan

P.S This is all in addition to hosting anywhere between 4-5 million of them for 2-3 decades in our country ! And thousands of them commuting back & forth between Pakistan & Afghanistan on a daily basis in respect of work.

Nobody has problem if Pakistan do any good for Afghanistan and its natives and same way Pakistanis should not have any problems if some one else do good for Afghans.. They and their lands have been messed up for way too long and now they do not need bullets, fanatics but need modern education and development..

Must say, I would have loved to see her under Taliban rule in Afghanistan.. She would not have seen school, if she was born under the rule of the ones, she is so utterly proud off..

Its about narratives Bond...its about narratives ! We believe that India is using Afghanistan as a springboard to fuel the Baloch insurgency in Pakistan just as India believes that Pakistan nurtures terrorist outfits to attack India whether its the Maoists, the Naxalites, the Underworld etc. Neither side has any proof except the most circumstantial of evidence in some cases & a loud ruckus in the media.

A simple answer for this is - India is not making roads, hospitals for fueling insurgency in Pakistan.. More over you are free to make positive inroads in the hearts of Afghans they are your neighbors after all, just like Indians.. ;)

India is playing positive role and I believe Pakistan should do the same. We should try to stop making Afghans fodder in this hateful political games..

Neither is Pakistan 'not engaging the Taliban' because of the oft-repeated 'strategic depth' but because one - we don't want to stir up a hornet's nest & two - because we don't think that the current regime in Kabul would be able to sustain itself even if you take Pakistan out of the questions - So its essentially a repeat of the late 80s & the 90s is what we fear. Lawlessness, wanton killings, warlordism & a couple of million refugees flooding Pakistan !

Just like you guys don't buy that when we say that because of whatever evidence has led you to make that informed opinion...we don't buy that India is doing that in Afghanistan of all places out of the goodness of her heart or probable economic opportunities to be exploited.

Khair lets leave it at where I started - Its all about narratives !

I am not even talking about your strategic depth or us using them against you. All I am talking about is - A Talibani ideology has been a curse for the region and it can only be wiped out by development and education. Believe me Taliban is an equal threat to Pakistan as it is to others including India.. Planning to use them for some gains in not going to help anyone. Also, one thing that as a Pakistanis you need to accept and that is - Afghanistan is an Independent country and can have its share of good or bad relations with any one. You can not expect them to follow some diktat..

Itna kuch tere desh mein hone ke baad bhi Akkal pe tale pade huye hain?

umm the same "taliban" that attacked kamra airbase and your naval airwing. you must be so proud !!

Clearly you lack knowledge. The Afghani Taliban was formed by the U.S and later supported by Pakistan. On the other hand, the Pakistani Taliban is one in which it is all supported by the U.S and India. The Kamra base attack was done by Pakistani Taliban. Yeah they did damage 1 aircraft, however, in respond, Afghani Taliban took on a NATO airbase where they completely destroyed Harriers and Helicopters. Its very bad to see all these militias but the blame eventually must come down to the U.S who is originally responsible for creating both, one which was for the purpose of Soviet Union, and other for getting it's tangible feel for the region.

india can play a humanitarian role as long as they dont use Afghanistan for nefarious purposes against its neighbours (which they have been doing, most unfortunately)

of course it goes without saying that india is hedging its bets on NATO, which itself will be drawing down troops by 2014 with a much more minimalist presence....something they should keep in mind
