Hardly surprising. I remember the US has said three or four times, last time in may I think, that it does not support any independence movement in Pakistan and respects the territorial integrity of Pakistan.
After that what one believes is their call.
As for the Baluchistan separation goes. Its a dream that has become even more impossible. The insurgency is nearly dead with pockets of them taking part in kidnappings, extortion and murder while nearly a thousand have surrendered. The voice calls comes from sardars who are sitting in Germany, US, UK, canada or Sweden lavishly and they organize their ten man march ( the last march Germany had only ten guys. Besharmi ki bhi had hoti hain).
The balochistan govt is far from perfect and Baluchistan province is far from perfect but the situation is improving and slowly but surely the area is getting developed. The new govt is bringing in new projects from Canada and Kuwait as well as from China.
What many don't realize that these nationalists want a balochistan carved from not only Pakistan but Afghanistan and Iran whilst Afghanistan that refutes the Durand line claims entire Baluchistan as its own. An unrealistic mess.
