The writer is right!!! Every gain by Pak is a loss for India!!! With Afghanistan going in Pak's terms a tremendous loss for India as all her investments - Last Afgans etc. - are going down the drain!! Couple it with the US "outsourcing" the Afghan conundrum to Pak!!! The entire Central Asia is now wide open!! And, the Chinese are lurking in the shadows!!! Not to mention the Iranian fiasco - no Chabahar, no BLA, no RAW etc.!!! As if these weren't enough for even the IAF got lashed to the ground!!! If the Indian analysts don't cry in an excruciating pain now then who will and when?!?!

I have read plenty of articles written by this guy. The indian writer MK Bhadrakumar is being a jackas.s again. Tell me something, How come visits of Prime Minister of Pakistan to any country, all of sudden becomes a "Set-Back" for India?? Is the writing implying that NO COUNTRY except India has the right to follow an independent foreign policy??

The writer needs to get his act right and write balanced articles, and stop being an indian puss.y.

it's not that it's a setback. it's more like the indians were overestimating their relationship with the US. they failed to realize the US has reached maximum war fatigue and needs to vacate Afghanistan. The only way they can avoid fall of Saigon scenario is for Pakistan to manage Afghanistan, hoping that it stays quiet after they leave. I'm surprised at the stupidity of indian planners, they literally thought they owned the US.

If Pakistan is helping to negotiate peace deal in the neighboring country, it should push for economic aid as reimbursement for the damage it has caused to the country. it should probably demand more and tie it directly to stability in Afghanistan. The only thing it should do differently, is NOT use those funds for military hardware acquisitions as it proves incorrect use of funds. This was one of the main reasons why the funding was cut off.

Rather, it should use that money to develop FATA & Balochistan, enhance connectivity thru out these regions, build schools, trade zones, etc. This will significantly get rid of grievances of the region towards Eastern Pakistan which has traditionally received lion's share of development funding. This will also help reduce terror by improving lives of those in the region, which will hold water in congressional or senate debates. This will secure long-term source of funding and can help build the tribal areas and frontier regions. I'm sure EU will also join in to fill the gap in funding. At the same time, it can push for investment in these areas as well as waiver from tariffs on all products manufactured there.

Iran has now 100 times better relations with pakistan due to the efforts of new government .
Things with Afghanistan would never be right but they are going towards normalisation.
The gulf is our friend . Relations with Russia are warm. I think pm Imran would be invited to Eastern economic Forum. It is in September about 1.5 month later and so we should expect an invitation .
We have signed strategic plan with eurpeon union .
Royal family has started its Pakistan tour again . And British Airways have started its services to Pakistan.
Now normalisation or relations with usa is on cards.
We have excellent relations with asean and central Asian nations .
Don't know what India achieved through its isolation policy .
Even isreal is not openly vocal against Pakistan .
Probably they have the support of the marshal islands in isolating Pakistan.

If Indians and Jews are taking over American jobs then there should be an increase in unemployment in the US. But on the contrary it decreased and keeps decreasing. US is an immigrant nation, almost all of them are immigrants from outside and that's how they managed to stay on top i.e the brain gain, immigrants coming with a lot of ideas and building on it. That's why Indians are the most successful immigrants in there. Keeps head low and work. There is no point being jealousy over it.

You are reading Mr Bhadrakumar pretty wrong.. he's one of the rare sane Indians when it comes to foreign affairs.. his desire is to have India as part of asia.not of the West.. he's Asia First guy... Many Indians don't like him..he is too much of a realist for them and desires peace with Pakistan..

Thanks for you opinion. However, I respectfully disagree. The guy is Pro-China, but Anti-Pakistan. Also, the guy has a habit of forming opinions based on 'Official Statements'. In in all, he tries to be an analyst on Geo-Political situations but HE IS NOT since he does not have the 'Insight' to be an analyst.

India's objective was ISOLATION of Pakistan - no more after this visit and this is the real set back for Indian foreign policy.
