US refuses Turkey permission to use Pakistani pilots for F-16 training

.
No,they didn't. Those F16's are closely monitored by the US and US personnel. It would help a lot if we wouldn't engage in such silly sf stories in this forum.

you are living in denial. Those pakistan and Turkish are no where as what you rubbished of closely monitored by US personnel. There is no US personnel living in PAF airbase hangar or staying by 24/7.

Lei Qiang, the test pilot of J-10A who experienced 4th generation western fighter in the 90s, mention about grateful to the country who host him, let him test ride and even operate the fighter jet together with the country compatriot.

I think we do not need black and white from him to mention that country is Pakistan and the fighter he sits on is F-16B. When US withheld fighter rightfully owned by PAF. Do you think Pakistan still give a damm about US security for F-16?

. . . . .
Pakistan can give some F-16s to China for mass production.

Co'mon China :) you can exchange them with some FC-31s.

@ChineseTiger1986 :china:
they need them 30 years ago today china is a 30 years ahead of f-16

Stay on topic guys, apparently it was fake news. I would like to know who would have an interest in spreading news like this. However RTE fucking up is true, purging the military on that scale with his buddies Fetullah gülen and then trying to kill each other is expected from his ilk.

We've lost a lot of good officers to this, and RTE didn't really apologise properly, but expected the nationalistic/patriotic feelings to be in his favor. Perhaps if RTE was replaced by a proper democratic leader who then invited the previous officers back the result would be much better.

Another thing the Chinese don't realize is US may withhold F16 newest block from PAF, that is probably related to Pakistans close friendliness to designated enemies US doesn't like, so yes of course they won't give you newest block F16 that you'll just let enemy nations reverse engineer.

The arguments that F16 is old and blah blah blah doesn't really matter it's still a damn good plane that's 40+ years old. Besides it's better to be safe than sorry.

The US has rejected a Turkish proposal to use Pakistani pilots for F-16 training, the Cumhuriyet daily reported on Monday, based on an article written by a pro-government columnist.

According to the article by Mehmet Acet, the government purged 680 of 1,350 pilots in the Turkish Air Forces following a coup attempt on July 15, 2016. In order to compensate for the lack of pilots, the government called on former pilots who opted to work in the private sector after 10 years of service in the air forces to return to the military. But only 50 pilots responded to the call. As a solution, the government inserted an article in a recently issued state of emergency decree which stipulates that pilots, including former pilots, serve 18 years in the air forces before going to the private sector.

“Hence, it is expected that 200 pilots including 100 F-16 pilots who left the air forces before completing 18 years in the military will return to the military,” said Acet in his article published in the Yeni Şafak daily.

Using a general as a source, Acet said in the meantime the Turkish Air Forces asked Pakistan to send three F-16 pilots to train Turkish pilots. Although Pakistan welcomed the Turkish request, the US refused to allow Ankara to go with Pakistani trainers.

According to an F16 purchase agreement between Turkey and the United States, the US must give permission for any third party involvement in the use of the aircraft.

According to Acet, the general used a Turkish idiom in response to Washington’s refusal, saying, “This means you fall down where you are.”

Technical expertise doesn't have much of a hand in proficiency, operating platforms. The biggest hurdle for Pakistani pilots is their lack of a Aerial Refuelling plane, allowing for training in;
  • Attack deep inside enemy territory for high value targets
  • Allow short range aircraft to be able to strike at long distance
  • For the Long range maritime strike capability in Support of Navy
  • For the high endurance for the air defence missions especially with AEW&Cs
  • For allowing aircrafts to takeoff with extra payload and refuel once in air
  • For helping the strike package on their way back if they are running low on fuel
  • For support of overseas exercises
During Kosovo war Turkish pilots had the longest in air operating time due to Turkish Tankers being able to refuel midair.
What are you talking about. Pakistan has had air to air refuelling for years. It's not PAF that needs updating it YOU

The F-16 is not much different from J-10 in the superiority.

Pakistan has already shared some of the F-16 specs with China long time ago.

Anyway, China will sell the J-31 to Pakistan.

Perhaps you should take some time and read discussions before commenting. Pakistan does not have aerial refuelling capability for F-16, hence Pakistan has limited proficiency in training with aerial refuelling and missions and tasks that would involve aerial refuelling capability.

Also, I don't know why you mention updating, Turkish Airforce has up-to-date equipment and has plans for future purchases of newer equipment.

.
No,it can't

Officially It can't, but it has. ISI has close links with Chinese intelligence and military. This has been going on for a long time. For example Pakistan allowed Chinese experts to view the wreckage for the chopper that was involved in the killing of Osama Bang Laden.
