Featured US outraged with India for acquiring Russian jets over American F-21s

So what is US going to do, cut down on it's charity to India?

Russians have strong foundations deep inside Indian politics and bureaucracy, it's too early for us to beat Russia in seedling toys to India. Also most of the Indian Air infrastructure is based on Russian jets and it would make IAF logistics even more messy than its currently by adding another ingredient to the IAF curry

Trump may force India to buy F-21 for election. Will India buy it? China can sell J-10 to India if India would like to pay.

Maybe the Indians should take the route of the Chinese then ... otherwise its indigenous arms industry is going to have a very difficult time. Or even better, India needs to demand technology transfers as part of the arms package.

No one following chinese path nothing but foolishness... chinese path is full hidden mysteries, hidden agendas, U turns, artificially creating new disputes to grab land , sea , air.. it's better to live ordinary than under dictatorship..

I meant with regards to military procurement. Don't you see India's ever increasing reliance on foreign weaponry as a huge problem for the country? As one poster earlier said, is there a major power in history that did not have an indigenous weapons industry

Indians don't know how to copy though ... I'm sure they have tried and failed.

What to do our govt is not like china.. who dictates everything from what they browse, what they speak, what they listen.... it's quite amazing living like robot operated by someone. ... but life must move on...

America's own fault. Russia saw an opportunity and charged India heavily for a single phone call during the Galwan skirmish.

America was dumb enough to accept the collect call.

Russian platforms such as the MKI and Mig-29 were the obvious choices when looking to plug gaps.

It takes a good amount of time to integrate a whole new system.

Anyone know when the Rafale is expected to be fully inducted after FOC etc ? How many do even have on Indian soil atm ?
